"Khun Porchay, I would like to hear the whole story from you now, just tell me everything you remember from that night, alright?" Charn asked right after Kim left them alone. Porchay looked around for a second, he moved a little on the chair and eventually managed to calm down enough to respond to the lawyer's question.
"Kim took me to a restaurant, then he went down an alley to get to the car and pick me up in front of the restaurant. I heard him screaming and I ran to him, then I found the man on the ground in a pool of blood" Chay responded.
"I see..." Charn murmured while writing that down, then he added: "During my stay here, I noticed that you have many bodyguards working for you, I wonder why none of them were accompanying you that night, since no one would attack a well-guarded person"
"You're right, we were alone. Kim wanted to organize a romantic dinner in one of the most elegant areas of the city, there was no reason to fear an attack there, that's why he asked the bodyguards to stay at the mansion" Chay replied.
"Very well. Did you notice any witness that night?"
"No, I'm sure there was no one"
"How can you be so sure about that?"
"It was raining heavily when we got out of the restaurant, nobody would walk in the rain in that condition" Chay replied.
"You said that Khun Kim went alone down that alley and then you saw him only after the man was dead, right?" Charn asked. Porchay gulped nervously before answering that question:
"Yes. When we arrived at the restaurant, there was no parking lot nearby, so he had to find a place somewhere else. Since it was raining when we got out, he told me to wait for him while he would go to the car and come back to the entrance to pick me up"
Charn wrote that down too, then he looked up at the young man in front of him and remained silent for a few moments. He put the small notebook on the table in front of him and the pen on it, then he made his usual psychotic smile and asked:
"How do you know that the victim actually tried to kill your husband?"
"You're implying that Kim is a liar!? How dare you! I clearly heard him screaming when that happened"
"Well, you can't say he wasn't just acting. Maybe he just wanted to relieve his cruel side and kill someone on the street, perhaps he even used his own knife to stab that poor guy"
"Nonsense!"
"What is going on here?" Kim intervened.
"This incompetent lawyer said that you could have killed that man just because you wanted to!" Chay yelled shocked.
"Calm down, Porchay, I'm sure that Khun Charn posed that question only to test your reaction, knowing that you will surely be interrogated in court. Am I right, Khun Charn?" Kim said after Chay buried his face in his husband's chest.
A.N. Hello dear reader, what do you think of the story so far? Was Tinn overreacting or maybe he's right and Kim is hiding something from our dear psycho-lawyer? Is there anything you don't like in the story?
