Chapter 27

Tinn looked at the two men standing by the car near the entrance of the building. They didn't look very trustworthy, but they probably worked for Nawin, so there wasn't much to do about it. He searched his phone in his pocket, he thought about calling Charn, but then he realized that there wasn't much his boyfriend could do about it, so he changed idea.

He walked to the entrance, hoping to get some kind of reaction. It was an open street, so even if they wanted to attack him, Tinn could easily escape without risks. If they were working for Nawin, they were probably going to greet him.

One of them spotted him, raised his hand and waved at him. Tinn came closer and greeted them, still ready to flee or fight back if necessary.

"Hello, you're Tinn, right? We met once at Nawin's mansion. Charn told you that you should come with us, right?" one of them said using such a kind tone that it showed and incredibly stark contrast with his intimidating appearance.

"Yes, he told me about that. I'll go upstairs and collect a few things, just give me a few minutes" Tinn responded. They agreed with a smile and resumed the chat they were having while waiting for Tinn.

Charn's husband opened the door of the entrance hall, he noticed that the elevator was out of service and started walking up the stairs. After a while, he finally reached the right floor. He looked around, noticed two men working on the elevator, and put the key in the keyhole.

He didn't realize that right after he stopped by the door of his apartment, the two janitors looked at each other for a second, signaling that he was the target they were waiting for.

The first one tried to attack him by trapping Tinn's head with a plastic bag. To bad for him, Tinn hit him so hard with his elbow, that he lost the grip on the plastic bag, so Tinn managed to free himself. Noticing that it wasn't going as planned, the second janitor tried to stab him. Tinn dodged that blow and kicked him down the flight of stairs.

Nawin's men heard the commotion and immediately rushed inside. Tinn didn't bother continuing the fight, he ran down the stairs and eventually met the henchmen that were supposed to escort him out of the city.

"What is going on? Are you alright?" one of them asked.

"Someone just attacked me. There are two of them. We better leave now" Tinn replied. The three men quickly reached the car outside and left the area.

"I'm texting Nawin, he has to know what happened. I suggest you wait for us to arrive at the house before texting your husband though" the henchman that wasn't driving remarked while looking at Tinn, who was sitting in the back seat.

"Yeah... do you have any ideas who that people could be? Did the Yakuza send them?" Tinn asked after calming down.

"I can't say for sure, but it is highly possible. Thankfully Charn had this idea... even though you handled it perfectly".
