After Once found out that his mother had a hand in keeping us apart, and he kicked her out of the company, I frequented his office. Usually I stayed within the corner, especially if he was meeting with a worker, but sometimes I would help out with paperwork.

Today was such. I sat in his huge office chair looking over the papers that was spread across his desk. How does he focus? His desk is so cluttered... I looked up to see Bret walk in with a new stack of work. I sighed dropping my pen.

Alright, let's start small. Organizing the paperwork in given order. It'll totally help speed up the work. I stood up grabbing papers, sleeping the contents before setting the into a neat pile on the desk.

I continued to look through papers, before a pink envelope fell from the stack I had in my hand. I set the papers on the table, before kneeling down and picking up the envelope.

A love letter? I felt jealousy spike at my core. Does he get these often? I looked towards the door in the back leading to the bedrooms. He was taking a shower and a nap, and he takes long naps.

I sat there weighing my options, before walking over to the chair and opening the envelope. I began to read the letter fast.

Hi, Mr Onceler. You don't know me, but I
couldn't help but fall in love when I saw you.
I know you say you're in love with that one girl
but I know that's not true. You should
really think about choosing me to help
you run your business and carry
your children. We'd be such a awesome family.
Love,
Marisa

I gagged reading the last lines. I tucked the letter back into the envelope and tossed it in the trash. I went through the papers and continued to organize them, and fill them out.

I had finished them and started heading to the bedroom as once walked in. He looked really tired still, and I almost started crying. But I held my composure and greeted him.

"Hey, Once... you ok?" I asked as I neared him. He was tired. He looked torn, physically exhausted and mentally drained. "Once..." he didn't look like that an hour and a half ago.

"Uhm.." he cleared his throat. "Yeah, yeah I'm fine, didn't sleep well that's all." He patted my head and headed to the desk. I frowned knowing he was lying. He's so transparent when he lies.

"Oh ok, well I'll be in the room if you need me." I stood at the door awaiting his reply. He didn't say anything and I sighed, walking out the door. I walked down the hall, and saw Isabella and aunt Griselda standing at my bedroom door.

I grew more suspicious, but it quickly turned to fear as I saw their faces. "What is going on?" I asked stopping a bit away from them. They shared a look and Isabella spoke up, her voice dripping with satisfaction and fake sadness.

"Oh Oncie didn't tell you? Oh my I hate to be bearer of bad news. But Once doesn't love you anymore. And he wants you out." The last word was sharp and crisp as she shoved a backpack into my arms.

I stumbled a bit back, staring at her in disbelief. "What!?" I asked incredulously. "That's insane." I said standing tall. I had enough of her bullshit.

"Don't believe me, ask him yourself." She motioned towards him as he walked down the hallway. "Oh what have you done to make him so mad.." she said. I felt myself tense up, trying to hold the anger rising.

"You went through my mail!" He yelled holding the pink envelope. I stared at him, mouth wide open. He didn't even give me time to respond. "Just go. Leave. Please." He said, his voice lowered with each word.
