So sorry for the long delay I have been really busy with exams and drama within friend group.

I walked back into my office the next morning, slightly distracted. I wanted to see y/n so bad right now. She overtook my brain since she left, the only thing in my head was her.

Last night was so nice to be able to make her understand that it's painful for me to be away from her. I told her three days. Three days for me to finalize paperwork to let go of my mother and make sure she can't have any say in my life ever again.

Speaking of which, she walked in with a girl. I sat in my chair, pulling out a cigar and lighting it. "I'm busy mom." I said somewhat harshly.

"I know I know. But I wanted you to meet the girl who I think is the best for you. Meet Cynthia. Isn't she beautiful?" My mother asked, pushing her towards the desk.

I grunted as I scanned paperwork, deftly hiding the papers of my mother from her. Uncle ubb should be in his way to y/n..

My mom cleared her throat causing me to look up at her, annoyed. "What?" I snapped. "I told you I'm busy I don't have time to look at a girl off the street." I looked back down at the papers in my hands, trying to concentrate.

"Sir I know you don't know me but I swear I can be a even better girlfriend to you, than that one girl you were dating." She said with a cold dismissive tone.

I grunted again. "I don't know how. You're already annoying me." My mother and her looked shocked, and uncle ubb walked in.

"Onceler.. may I speak with you in private real quick?" My mother scoffed and tried pushing him away, but I stood up and motioned him to follow me out the factory where workers were trying to plant trees before my mother could notice.

"What is it uncle ubb? Is y/n ok?" I saw the Lorax run up to us, breathing heavily.

"I haven't seen y/n this morning and she didn't leave a note. Oh god i hope she's ok..." he said panicked. It was the first time he wasn't mad at me, it was not a nice feeling.

"What do you mean you can't find her?!" My voices raised a bit louder, even though uncle ubb tried shushing me so my mom wouldn't hear. "She can listen all she wants. I want to know where my y/n is Lorax!" I looked at him.

He shook his head indicating he didn't know. "They usually sleep in, which means I wake up before them. But.. but when I woke up, s-she wasn't there-.." he said tripping over his words.

I turned around and walked up the stairs to my office, shifting through papers, mumbling to myself. My mother stands there, looking pissed.

"Not now Isabella." I growled at her. I pushed the papers off my desk, and tossed my hat on the table. Picking up the phone, I dialed the police and filed a missing person report. I hung up the phone, taking out another cigar and lighting it.

---

Three days passed and I told my mom she wasn't allowed at the factory at all, and cannot ever have sat within the company. Aunt Griselda and Chet went with her. Uncle ubb and Bret stayed behind in the factory, worried about y/n.

I never left my chair, staring out of the window, wondering what y/n was doing. Are they ok? What if she's hurt! Oh god please be ok.. I thought. I couldn't stand not knowing what happened to her.

I had gotten tired of waiting and decided to go and find her myself. I walked into our room and changed into a hoodie and jeans, attempting to hide my identity. Though I am on of the few tall black haired blue eyed men in this town.

I walked outside to the little clearing she was staying at. I walked in and saw her stuff in one corner. She had a stack of books, a bag and a couple of blankets. A pillow laid, bunched in the middle, as if she slept hold it in her arms. I saw the few changes of clothes laying nearby. Their favorite boots were still here, one of my hoodies, two shirts and three pairs of pants.

There was some papers on top of the books. I picked the top one up. It was a love letter. I scanned the contents but it stopped abruptly.

Messy at the bottom said: help; warehouse; across- It seemed like it was stopped abruptly again.

"Beanpole.. I didn't think you'd be here." The Lorax stood in the entrance of the clearing. I stood up with the letter.

"The clue to her whereabouts was here the entire time!?" I said, I was livid right now.

"I swear I didn't touch any of her stuff after she left, especially the stuff she wrote, it was personal to her, I wasn't gonna invade that." He said backing up.

I stalked past him, noting him unworthy of my attention right now. I had a goal and that was to get my lover back.

Whoo-hoo I managed to get the chapter done!!
