When everyone had left Reginald began talking.
"I assume you two must be wondering why I have requested a moment alone with you two?" he asked as the three of you were sitting by the bar while island music was playing over the speakers.
You were sitting next between Five and Reginald. Five was not taking any chancing, he was watching his father closely in case he might start something.
"Well, you were the only one polite enough to introduce yourself and you two both seems to be the sensible of the bunch" Reginald said.
"That's because we are the oldest" you said causing Reginald to look confused at the two of you "I'm a year younger than him by a year" you said as you pointed your thumb at Five "But now I'm actually older 'cause of the timeline" you said "You know, technically, we're older than you right now" Five said.
"Cognac?" Reginald asked you and Five as a guy behind the bar gave you a glass each "Why not" you said "Just a smidge" Five said with a small smile.
"Now do you care to tell me why you have been searching high and low to talk to me?" Reginald asked "Well, I'm just along the ride" you said "Because we need your help" Five said.
"Well, anyway, the other night, you quoted Homer at me" Reginald said as he was looking at Five "Why?" he asked "You forced us all to learn it as kids. In the original Greek, no less" Five said and Reginald nodded before he poured down some alcohol into his, yours and Five's glass.
"Alright" Reginald before he lifted up his glass in a cheering motion and you both nodded as you did the same before the three of you took a sip.
"Mmm" you and Five said as you took a sip.
"This world ends in five days if we don't get out of the timeline" you said "Worlds end. Paleozoic, Jurassic, and so on" Reginald said "Five say that we can do something about this one" you said "Man's greatest flaw: The illusion of control" Reginald said.
"We need your help. All right? You're my last sane option. Otherwise, I gotta make a deal that I really don't wanna make" Five said which cause you to look at him "What deal?" you asked "Not important right now" Five said and you nodded before you looked back at Reginald.
"Well, apparently, you're only option left. We can stop this disaster if we exit the timeline" you said and Reginald nodded, like he gestured for you to continue "Do you know anything about time travel or how to get out of a timline?" you asked "Aren't you from the future? Haven't you done this already?" he asked "No, not exactly. I someone landed here in the 60's. I still don't remember how. But Five and the others got here by another method. So what do you know about time travel?" you asked.
