You were walking down the street, small tears in your eyes. The argument with Five and the memory of Reginald's words in your mind repeated constantly.
You knew that Reginald was right, something was blocking your memory, something you didn't want to remember whether it be pain or protection.
Then suddenly someone called your name and you turned around to see Lila.
"Lila what are you doing here?" you asked "I was just walking around and saw you, what are you doing here?" she asked "I'm heading toward Gabe" you said "Why are you not with Five?" she asked "I left them. It was too much for me. And I was too much for them. They're weren't going anywhere with me. I had a fight with Five and I left. And I didn't wanted to go back to my dad since I had a feeling that Five would be there, so I will go back to Gabe" you said.
"Why did you had a fight with Five?" she asked "I had a feeling that he was keeping more from me and he refuse to tell me, it was just like I didn't mean anything to him. He refuse to tell me the rest and he treats me like I'm some broken fragile mess that need fixing" you said.
Lila looked at you and could feel pity. Sure she didn't like Five at all but she knew the connection between you and Five from the moment she saw the two of you together. Lila didn't wanted to admit it, but in that short moment she have knew you, she actually like you and care about you.
"Therefore I'm heading to Gabe" you said "Listen Y/n, I know you've been through a lot. But I need you to go back to them" Lila said "What? What do you mean go back to them?" you asked "'Cause something are gonna happen and I need you to be in a safe place until then. They're the best shot you have because those guys that tried to take us down at the gala are still after you" Lila said "I can't just go back to them. You didn't witness that argument I had with Five. It was bad. He tried to get me to stay, but I wanted to leave, I can't be around someone that is keeping stuff from me that could actually help me" you said "This is a matter between life and death" she said "I can't go back, it's too much for me. I need to be away, just for a little bit. I'm headed to Gabe, he is not keeping things from me, he have actually tried to protect me" you said "Five is a better protecter than Gabe. Five is your best option right now" she said "No, Five is not my best option, actually he is the worst right now. I'm not that person that Five once knew, I'm slowly building a new life and I just can't leave it for something that was in the past" you said before you turned around.
"Listen to me Y/n" Lila said "No, if not even Five could convince to stay, then no one can" you said before walking away and Lila let out a sigh.
"Well, I tried, it's her funeral" Lila said before she turned around and left.
