Jennie couldn't believe that she gave up everything for Kai and this is what she gets in return. As for her inheritance, her mother includes in the clauses that there will be a contract that should be signed by her father before she can get all of her inheritance. Because before her mother passed away, their family used to be full of love, peace and joy. So that her mother left Jennie in the hands of her husband and trusted him to take good care of their one and only child.

However, at the age of 18 her Father rarely comes home and suddenly he arrived at home with Kim Ji Won and Kim Nancy telling her that they will join the family. Since then, things started to get messy. The mother and daughter use schemes to slander Jennie and to break the Father and daughter good relationship. At first, Jennie doesn't understand why things got toxic between her and her father. Until Jennie turned 22, she got her first boyfriend, Kai. Nancy kept pushing her to him even though Father Kim doesn't allow Jennie to have a boyfriend yet because he wanted her to focus learning how to manage the company.

Nancy did everything to stop Jennie from learning regarding to company matters because once she finally learned how to manage it, her step father will surely handed Jennie the company. All she did was keep telling Jennie to fight her love for Kai. Although, Kai was her boyfriend, she doesn't mind pushing him to Jennie unless they get engaged and get married. She just wants to distract and delay the inheritance that Jennie would receive while they haven't had a thorough plan.
