When Jennie finally dated Kai, Nancy tell her step father and acted as if she keeps reminding Jennie that she wasn't allowed to have a boyfriend and should focus on the company. Father Kim reprimanded Jennie and the two started arguing. Until Father Kim, decided that if Jennie did not comply to his rules, he will disown her. And it shocked Jennie to the core. It truly breaks her heart to hear such a word from her father. It's not that because of having a boyfriend. But because Nancy and her mother was telling Father Kim that Jennie was bullying Nancy for not being Father Kim's biological daughter.
Jennie felt depressed and alone like no one was there for her. In the end, she chose Kai and got disowned by her Father. And one year later, this is what she gets in return. Jennie was more than sure that by now, Kai knows that she already found out about his and Nancy's affair.To her, nothing was left, only Kai. But Kai intentionally stayed in their relationship because he expected that sooner or later, Father Kim will accept her again and call her to come home. When it happens, he will finally be able to enjoy the inheritance that Jennie would get. Now that Jennie finally woke up and get to see the truth and their shameless and horrible actions they made towards her, slowly but surely, she will get her payback.
