October 8th
Okay, this week not much happened. The usual boring daily routine I have: wake up, go to school, hear teachers talking, and come back home, take a nap, waste my life on watching stuff, trying to study and then sleep.
The highlight of this week was probably the geography trip to Canary Wharf: not for fun but for educational purposes, a compulsory fieldwork to be specific. And part of this fieldwork consisted of asking some random busy strangers some questions for a survey, and oh God if it was embarrassing!! People were either ignoring us or they were like "No, I'm busy" or "I'm going to work" but they were so freaking slow!! Like they were waling slower than a 80-year-old lady.
But we were able to successfully interview 4 people. YAYYY!! 2 of them were workers and tehy were reeeaaally nice, genuinely kind and happy, and the other 2 were tourists who came just the night before, they were also extremely nice and cheerful, like they were actually articulating their responses, just like the 2 before.
There was also this one lady that I helped find the DLR station and I thought "if I help her, she's gonna help me back right?" and guess what? She was like "I'm going to an interview, sorry" but when another group stopped her, she actually answered their questions.... like what?!
Apart from this, the trip was fine overall, we went to some places around to see the quality of the infrastructure and how well it is maintained etc. It was kinda boring as I already knew the area pretty well but it was good (we also played table football when we were meant to play pool but they removed the equipment so...)
Oh yeah, we also had to count how many people were walking by a street in 5 minutes and none of us was bothered to just stand there and count so we sat on the base of the barrier of the middle dock (and we looked like homeless people) and counted the people. We were meant to go to the other side of the road but who cares? We had a broader view from where we were sitting so it's alright... But there was this one man, dressed as a pilot, and I was surprised as I didn't expect pilots around there so I said "Oh my God, he's a pilot!" And apparently it was a bit too loud coz the guy heard me but he was so cute, he turned around and saluted. That was soooo shocking!!!
What else happened this week??
Oh a friend of mine shared her analysis on the last episode of the anime that made me cry sooo much and I have to say: it was well written. It actually had some crazy theories that actually worked!! But sadly we gotta wait like 5 years just to see what happens :(
Oh and we also attended some events online but they were boring... Are conferences and summits really that boring?? Like do adults seriously like that??
And yeah this was my week! We shall talk again next week!!
Bye bye!!
