A Saturday night house party
With supplies from Walmart
Music blaring out the speakers
Everyone seems to be having a good time
Dancing and drinkin too much
I was going to stay home with a book in my hands
But my friends talked me into coming over
I took my time but here I am
With a fake smile acting like I'm okay
But it's hard to ignore the whispers and stares
It really sucks to break up in a small town
And it doesn't help that you walk in with her like you don't care
It's hard to forget all the time we shared
I don't know how to make you miss me
I guess I'm single for the summer
While I try to mend
I bet breaking up in the 90s was so much easier
