She thought of the saying misery loves company
And thought maybe that's why we keep making beautiful mistakes
Too scared to love somebody again
Haunted by the old memories
Ignoring the maps that lead
To pure happiness
Because it's easier not to feel
Or so she thought until she realized
I don't think I can pretend for one more night
It's getting harder to breathe

I know what you're going to say sugar
And I want you to know you're right
It's time we admit to ourselves
What we have has turned into something more
They both said at the same time
It was always you
And always will be
This love we have
Will last for eternity
