"Enemies" to..lovers? (ToothCup)

Suspicions.

Hello again! Yet another chapter.

Let's just say Astrid is growing suspicious of Hiccup like she does in the movie! A good chapter lies ahead.

*ASTRID POV*

Hiccup had been acting good in dragon training. Too good...Now I'm not saying I'm jealous but it's weird..right after dragon training he just disappears?! I need to find out what this kid is up to...He could be seeing someone secretly to train with for all I care! But nobody just gets that good...

One interesting encounter I've had with him is when it was late at night and I was going to the blacksmiths to see if Gobber or Hiccup would need help with anything.

~Flashback~

Hiccup was barley good with the blacksmiths chores anyway so Gobber deserves an extra hand. I heard giggling and laughing coming from Hiccup and... Another voice. What the hell was going on? "Hiccup?" I called out confused. The giggling then stopped and whispering filled the back of the blacksmiths so I knocked on the door. "Hiccup? Are you in there..?" The whispering slightly turned into yelling and it was as if he was bossing someone around in there. All of a sudden he emerged from the doors and laughed nervously. "HAHAA... Hey Astrid!" I narrowed my eyes at him showing him I was suspecting something. "Who is in there?" I asked and he stopped laughing. "Is it Gobber?" I then said slowly calming down thinking it was him.

"Nooooope! Nobody is in there! Yeaaaaah Nobody- HEY!" He yelled to the doors as they bounced back and fourth. "Y'know I'm just closing up shop, nothings wrong and y'knoOOH-" He was cut off by something dragging him into the darkness of the shop and more laughter emerged from in there... But as I burst through the door yelling ready to attack whatever it was with my axe, I saw a slight silhouette of two boys charging off. Doesn't want anyone to meet his new friend it seems...

~End of flashback~

~With Hiccup and Toothless~

*NOBODY POV*

Hiccup was sitting on the edge of the cliff with Toothless beside him. Toothless had a question he was a bit afraid to ask but he decided to give in and ask. "Hey uh...Hiccup?" He nervously said. "Yeah?" Hiccup replied smiling at Toothless. "What is dragon training? You've told me you always had to run because of it but never told me what it actually is...do you train certain dragons?" Hiccup just stared blankly at him and his smile slightly faded. "Uhh..no not really..we are actually trained to kill dragons in dragon training." He said softly. "I see." Toothless stared at Hiccup with dull eyes as if to say he wasn't impressed. "Hey- bud I'd never kill dragons! I'd just use humane ways to make them back off!" Toothless let out a sigh of relief showing Hiccup he believed him. "Alright..if you say so. It's because...my friends or.. people from the nest I'm in now were taken by your people. I haven't heard or seen them in ages and it hurts to know I might never see them again..."

Hiccup just stared at Toothless with sadness in his eyes and he moved closer putting a hand near Toothless. "Don't worry...sooner or later we'll both free them and leave this place..that's if you want to take me with you.." Hiccup looked at the sunset with tears in his eyes. He wanted to leave this place so badly... It hurt.. Toothless smiled and put his hand on Hiccup's. Hiccup's face then turned red and he looked next to him see Toothless smiling. With hope in his gorgeous emerald eyes. "Don't worry Hiccup. I'll take you with me if that's what you really want."
Hiccup smiled and shed a few tears as he swung his arms around Toothless burying his head in his chest. Toothless blushed but just smiled softly and wrapped his arms and wings around the frail body that was clinging onto him.
