Yes this will be a chapter focused on Toothless and Hiccup's relationship deepening, but also the other dragons and how they are in this alternate universe!

*NOBODY POV*

The arena already had a gloomy feel to it. But the horrible conditions of the cages they kept the dragons in had an even worse feel. These poor creatures were only doing as told but they didn't even get repaid nicely.. The Deadly Nadder of the gang knew how to stick up for herself. She was an incredible fighter! This Deadly Nadder had a name. And that name was StormFly. She defended herself and her friends well! But unfortunately these pesky Vikings wouldn't just give in and let the dragons go... They'd torture them even more than usual if they dare attack them.

"StormFly! Your over reacting... just calm down. S-someday they'll let us out...I hope" The Gronkle said with tears in her eyes. StormFly turned to the Gronkle and went on her knees beside her. "Meatlug.. I'm sorry if I scared you at all..I'm just so sick of this place! Humans don't know how to treat us dragons with respect and it drives me CRAZY!" A few spikes shot out of her back in anger.

The Monstrous Nightmare stepped up with his hands behind his back calmly. "I'd like to protest on that StormFly." She looked at him with confusion and anger. "What do you mean Hookfang? All humans are just self absorbed gremlins on 2 feet!" Hookfang chuckled and then said, "Yeah well the human I encountered before being taken by the Vikings wasn't like them. He was.. Different." The Zippleback twins stepped up. "Different in what way?" One of them said. "Like us?" The other one guessed. "Not really Barf and Belch. But he didn't attack me... Instead of attacking he... he seemed scared. StormFly scoffed at what Hookfang said. "Of course he is scared of us. Just because we are tall clawed hybrids with massive wings doesn't make us DEMONS! They are the real demons.." Hookfang stared at StormFfly. She wasn't wrong.. They were stereotyped quite often.

"But you see StormFly, This human didn't do anything. He just stared into my eyes so that's when I calmed down and stepped closer.. But the other Vikings freaked out so thats when I freaked out.. and ended up here with you lot." He laughed. "I don't see how this topic is funny.." Barf said. "Quite the opposite." Belch added. All the dragons stared at Hookfang waiting for his reasoning to mention this occurrence. Meatlug then sat up and spoke for Hookfang.

"I...think what Hookfang is trying to say is that.. Not all humans are bad. They could be acting this way towards us because they don't know us!" Hookfang nodded in agreement. StormFly tilted her head and then slowly looked away thinking that maybe her friends were right. But then a memory hit her heart like an arrow and she quickly turned around. "Guys..." she said slowly. The other dragons looked at her with confusion. "What do you think happened to Toothless..?" All their eyes widened and they look at each other waiting for someone to speak up. "Probably went back to the nest..." Barf said. "Orders of the queen." Belch then said. StormFly looked at the ground with worry in her eyes. Toothless was like a brother to her and she knew how targeted Night Fury's were. She'd hate the thought of something happening to him...

~Meanwhile with Hiccup and Toothless~

*HICCUP POV*

Astrid had agreed to not tell anyone about Toothless and she also acted way nicer to me than normal! Which made me feel way better. Me and Toothless's relationship only grew stronger and something inside told me that Toothless maybe liked me as well... It was probably just my heart being excited but with his actions and his words it was hard to tell. He'd always carry me around which was slightly embarrassing but I was ok with it. Though even if I wasn't I'm sure he'd just do it anyway..

We were at the cove and Toothless was fishing with his mouth so we could both eat! I laughed as he growled at the fish due to being sick of missing them. "I'd like to see you try get fish with your mouth." He said to me. I continued to laugh anyways because it was quite funny seeing him angry but yet again, if I didn't know Toothless and I saw him angry, I'd probably be terrified. But I'm glad I know him so instead of being scared so I can just laugh along! Toothless smiled at me attractively and I stopped laughing.. I looked right into his eyes and he looked right into mine. I felt butterflies in my stomach as I edged closer.. "oh gosh what is going to happen.." I thought to myself. I gulped as Toothless put a wing and claw around me. He gently moved my head closer waiting for me to make the next move but then...

"HICCUP!" A young female voice yelled. I quickly edged away and looked at the hills seeing Astrid panting. "Your father is back... and he is asking for you." I had then remembered. Oh my gods this was bad...Really really bad.. I breathed heavily and looked at Toothless in the eyes. He seemed to Hage sensed my worries and pulled me closer to him as I buried my head in his chest. "Oh gosh I'm scared.. what if he is angry at me what if he-" Toothless put a finger on my lip and lifted my head up so we were 2 inches apart from each other.. "If he does anything to you, scream as loud as you can. I'm sure I'll hear it." He winked at me and then slowly pulled me in for a kiss.. I felt my entire face light up with red and I slowly closed my eyes and accepted his hand on my face and back as his tail wrapped around my waist. Our kiss seemed to have lasted for a minute. Slowly getting into the make out phase... but that's when Astrid coughed interrupting us and I remembered.

I smiled at Toothless while running with Astrid back to the village. Boy he was a good kisser. "Oh yeah!" Astrid said. "I forgot to say but.. There is no reason to worry he is actually proud of you." I stared at her with a face of confusion and shock. "Proud of... me?" I let out. Astrid smiled and nodded. "Why..?" I shakily asked. She shrugged. "Don't know really.. but he seemed happy to ask for you!" I then decided to ask "Why didn't you say that before I practically had a break down in Toothless's chest?!" She laughed and looked at me. "You guys seemed so erm.. Busy. I didn't want to bother you. Congrats for your first kiss by the way." She winked at me. I felt my cheeks heat up.. I had completely forgot Astrid was there and the fact she had seen everything..

We had reached the centre and all eyes were on us and I laughed nervously. I didn't realise that it was practically night when we got back. I didn't see my father anywhere.. To be honest I was glad. Astrid walked me to my house and said Goodnight. I ran Inside and quickly upstairs to study.. If my dad did see me tonight i'd want to see him watch me study. I opened a book and quickly rushed myself through but... someone was still on my mind.. That reptile human hybrid.. Toothless. I noticed the stack of papers on my desk that were dedicated to him and the tail fin I worked so hard on creating. Just as I smile at my glorious work I felt a cold familiar gigantic hand pat my shoulder. My reflexes shoved the papers under my book and turned around with my hands up.. Well shit. It was dad....
