I woke up to movement behind me. I turned and saw Jay behind me. I smiled and pecked his lips.
"Good morning babe," I mumble.
"Good morning." He mumbles back.
I sit up and look around. I notice a vase of roses sitting on my nightstand with a card and a small box next to it.
"What's this?" I ask and turn to look at Jay.
"Happy Valentine's Day my love." He says before kissing my shoulder. I smiled and leaned over to pick up the card and box.
I opened the card and saw what he had written in it.
'To my beautiful Valentine, thank you for loving me despite my dickish ways and getting me to be vulnerable. I love you with my whole heart.'
"You're so sweet," I say and peck his lips.
I then open the box and see a small gold ring with a heart.

"It's beautiful," I say before slipping it on my right ring finger.
"I know it's not much, but I thought you might like it." He says awkwardly scratching the back of his neck.
"I love it," I tell him with a smile.
"I got you something," I say suddenly and get out of bed, I go into my closet and get his gifts.
"What's this?" he asks when I hand him a stack of cards and a small bag.
"Those are different Valentine's cards with dirty stuff written in them, and in the bag is your gift," I explain. I sit on the bed next to him.
He puts the cards to the side and looks in the bag. He pulls out a framed picture of the two of us Simon had taken when we weren't paying attention and a small bottle of vodka.
