The crowd cheered as Caesar walked onto the stage. Caesar laughed into the microphone as he walked on stage. "Thank you!" he bowed, "Thank you for being here tonight, on the eve of the 75th Hunger Games!" Caesar paused, accepting more claps and cheers. "We have never seen anything like this, and we'll never see anything like this again. Because tonight, on this stage, 24 of Panem's brightest stars will fight for the ultimate crown. Tonight will be their final opportunity to express their thoughts, our final opportunity to express our love, and heartbreakingly say goodbye to all, but one... What a night." Caesar paused, trying to emphasize how sad he felt. "Let's hear it." The crowd erupted into shouts and cheers once again. "That's so exciting!" Caesar yelled.

"What's this?" Meara asked, stepping in front of the dress she had to wear. "President Snow thought that if you wore it, it'd get you more sponsors." Ezra whispered. "More sponsors? Why would he care what I wore to get sponsors?" Meara cocked her head to the side. Ezra shrugged. "I'm sure he has good intentions."

Meara walked out in the outfit, almost tripping on how long the dress was. "This is what you really want me to wear?" Meara asked. "Not that I'm complaining, it looks good, Ezra, trust me." Meara looked at him.

"Meara, you look beautiful." Ezra held his hand over his heart. "You were always my favorite person to style." He cheered. "Are the dress and heels different colors on purpose?" Meara asked. Ezra gasped, looking at the heels. "No, it wasn't on purpose." He whispered. "Oh, well, no time to change it. Go, go, you're on soon." Ezra linked arms with her and walked out of the door. "Now, I'll be waiting here after the show. Good luck, my ocean." Ezra smiled. Meara furrowed her eyebrows at the nickname he called her.  Before she could respond, the doors opened. "Everyone, welcome Meara Rivers from District 4!" Caesar cheered, turning to see Meara. Meara walked, as confident as she could in the outfit, up to Caesar. The crowd cheered louder than they ever had.
