Blaine, Ashleigh, Jake, Marley, and Sam walked into the choir room...

Ryder was sitting in his chair, texting the anonymous girl.

Ryder: "You stood me up twice now. Why are you afraid to meet me?"

Katie: "IDK."

"Hey, Ashleigh, who are you texting? Let me see your phone." Ryder says.

"Uh, no, invasion of privacy or what? I'm playing a game; stalker alert. Do I need to get a restraining order?" Ashleigh asked, furrowing her eyebrows.

"Guys, we've got a problem. Her name is Frida Romero. With regionals only a few weeks away, I went to scout out the competition. The Hoosierdaddies have a secret weapon. She's a tiny sophomore who has never competed before, but her voice could fill an arena. It... it's big." Will said.

Ashleigh stared at Blaine nervously.

"The only way to beat them is to be huge. I'm talking stadium huge. Epic songs that will blow the heads off of 100,000 people at a time. Ashleigh, I need you working on your voice because we're gonna need you to sing..." Will says, seeing the lights going off.

"Zombie apocalypse!" Ashleigh and Sam shouted, fist-pumping each other.

"Or Beyoncé's half-time show." Said Unique.

Ashleigh grabbed onto Blaine's arm tightly, staring around in the darkness.

"Ashleigh... you are kind of hurting my arm." Blaine whispered.

Figgins: "Children, this power outage is not an emergency."

Figgins voice came through the speakers.

The students in the classroom cheered, throwing their papers up.

Figgins: "Nor is it an excuse to go wilding through the hallways. Classes will continue, and your brains are to remain in the on positions. If the darkness persists, candles and flashlights will be distributed based on grade-point average."

"Okay, that puts a damper on our stadium songs. Time for a new, appropriate lesson. Ladies and gentlemen... it's Unplugged Week." Will said.

Ryder and Jake walked out of the choir room, and Jake used the flashlight on his phone, and Ryder held a flashlight...

"I can't believe she blew me off like that." Ryder said.

"Who?" Jake asked.

"Katie." Said Ryder.

"How do you even know this person is a she? Or even a human?" Asked Jake.

"Stop. All I know is that I've had this amazing connection." Ryder muttered.

"You've gotta let this go, man. You don't even know her." Jake said.

"You don't understand, Jake; I've never felt this close to someone. I told her things about myself and about my past; I've never told anyone, ever. If this were to ever get out..." Ryder mumbled.

"Wait, dude, I thought your biggest secret was dyslexia. Well, what is it?" Jake asked, staring at Ryder.

"I can't." Ryder says.

"Fine, dude, keep it all locked away for a few more years. It's not going away. You should think about starting to share your deep, dark secrets with people you actually know."
