Belle POV (Before)
"I missed you so much!" Farrah yells as she literally tackles me to the ground.
"Sweetie, I missed you too." I wheezed out, patting her back. "Could you please let go though?"
Farrah obliged, and I got up and turned towards the trunk where Beau and dad were unpacking suitcases. Once I had grabbed my suitcase she squeaked and put her hands on my shoulders. "So, tell me... how cute is he?"
"Eleven, easy." I laugh, picking up my suitcase and walking up towards the house. Farrah gets my other two bags and then catches up with me. "Tell me about him."
I told her all about Soren. Her eyes seemed to twinkle with pure happiness when I told her about how sweet and gentle he is to me. I told her all about the cute things he's done for me including picnics and the breakfast just for us.
We were in my room now, placing my clothes back in my dresser. Farrah came over to me after folding and stacking another shirt and hugged me. "I know I'm being so clingy and gushy but I'm just so glad for you, and I want to remember seeing you this... happy." She bit her lip at the last part.
She let go of me completely and tucked a strand of her curly hair behind her ear. "I feel kind of selfish for feeling just a little sad though."
I look at her questioningly. "Why do you feel sad?"
She laughs hollowly, "You're going to leave me for someone who's going to make you more happy than I ever could. I'm going to lose my best friend after this school year." She twirls the ends of her hair in her hands.
I pull over my last suitcase. "What do you mean? We're always going to be best friends."
"No... now you have another best friend and he's going to replace me." Farrah smiled again, but it seemed almost pained, like this conversation was physically hurting her.
"Farrah, I love you and you're usually right about everything but you're wrong! This is not the end of us! We've been best friends since kindergarten. Thats more than... Well that's basically all I know! You're always there, and this one thing's not changing that!...?" I stutter a bit phrasing it like a question. My vision gets blurry and Farrah comes closer but I furiously blink and wipe my tears away.
"No! I'm not crying because this is not the beginning of an ending okay! We have senior year, and after that, the rest of our lives!" I storm out of the room into the hallway. Once I'm in the hallway I see my reflection and I look like a tomato. A really sad and scared tomato.
I walk back into the room. "This is my bedroom..." I mumble and Farrah gets up and touches my shoulder in a caring way and flashes a smile at me but it seems more like a frown.

"Okay, maybe it isn't logical but I say you can never go wrong with bringing a hot guy somewhere with no competition!" Farrah laughs and picks up another strawberry. "What about you?"
"If I could bring one thing with me on a deserted island..." I paused actually thinking. If I brought Soren with me I'd lose the top person I'd trust to try and find me and if I brought Farrah she'd just complain... "I'd bring a lifetime supply of bomb pops."
Farrah raised an eyebrow at me. "Explanation?"
I popped another strawberry in my mouth happy with my answer. "I'd have popsicles to beat the heat of the island and I'd have entertainment since there are jokes on all of the sticks." I smile triumphantly. "Oh, plus if the rescue party takes to long I can make a popsicle stick raft."
