Chapter 2 - So That Global Warming, Though

Thanks for staying this far guys <3. One note, From now on I'm just going to tell time by (Before) and (After) and both of them are in chronological order (I'm basically just telling two stories in one book so if I say 'before' it's where the before story picked up last and if I say 'after' it's where the after story picked up last).

Now on with the story!

Belle's POV (Before)

"B come on, everyone's already inside." I feel someone shaking me and when I look up I see it's my brother, Beau.

"We're there already?" I ask, yawning. "I don't even remember falling asleep."

We climb out of the car and I'm shocked by what I saw.

The sight in front of me is breathtaking. I'm not any good with a pencil or paint brush but even I know this is a masterpiece. The pack house itself is in a natural clearing in the forest, with a few stray trees here and there in the yard. There are people milling around, some middle-aged with kids, a lot of teenagers with their friends, and a couple of elderly people sitting around enjoying the nice day. The pack house is cream colored and towered over everything, the most beautiful part though, is the beautiful mountain behind everything, it truly looked like it came out of a book or a movie.

"Where's everybody?" I ask Beau, noticing that the rest of my family is no where in sight.

"Well Athena's over there" he says, pointing to Athena and another girl with black hair. "with... hmm, what was her name? I think it was... Raven? That doesn't sound right, but she's the Alpha's daughter of another pack who's visiting."

"Well, I might as well find my room." I say, turning to the car and opening the trunk to find... nothing.

"Already in the rooms, see you later B, I'm gonna go find Dad."

I turn around to say goodbye but he's already gone.

Might as well look around, I think as I walk around in a wide arc around the pack house. This place really is beautiful, Athena is probably loving it here.

"Belle! Come over here!" I turn around to see my little sister next to her new friend waving me over. I chuckle to myself, speak of the devil.

"Onyx was just telling me about a boy in this pack who you'd totally be best friends with." Onyx, so that's her name. Onyx... I can see why Beau would mix that up with Raven, his brain is all over the place.

After hearing the word onyx he probably started thinking about different names for black and once he hit raven, his brain most likely either started thinking of birds, psychics, or superheroes. I love my twin brother, but getting him to focus is like telling a random person to hug you. Once in a blue moon you may get the desired outcome, but mostly you'll come up with nothing (except a creeped out stare and a few backwards steps away). "Belle are you even listening?" I blink, and realize I completely stopped listening to Athena. Ok, so I may not be that different from my brother.

"Of course. There's a guy you think I'd hit it off with or something... are you trying to matchmake?" I look at Athena, trying to see why she's so persistent that I meet this guy.

Athena looks at me, then looks at Onyx, repeating that about two times before Onyx and her both start cracking up, laughing as if that's the funniest thing they've heard in years.

After they've both sobered up Onyx smiles at me, "We doubt you guys would ever date... for multiple reasons" she glances briefly at my sister like what she said is a joke I'll find funny later, "but you guys seem like you'd be best friends. You wanna meet him?"
