꧁▷ ⁑✦ ⁎⚘ ❀ ⚘⁎ ✦⁑ ▷꧂A golden yellow light reflected off of your irises as you were drawn to watch your parents being engulfed by flames outside your family home.
Their screams were muffled in your head as you continued to see the image of your mother and father's faces contorting through stages of agony. Their skin grotesquely peeling from their faces.
Whispering to yourself, you said, "Mummy? Daddy?"
This was the last time you'd see them whilst they were still living, and they were being burnt alive right in front of you. This image scorched your very mind, engraving itself into your memories."No!" You yelled as you shot up from your bed, beads of sweat detaching themselves from your forehead.
You slowly started untangling yourself from the sheets as your door swung open, revealing a deranged looking Anakin in sweatpants, holding an ignited lightsaber."Ever heard of knocking," you sarcastically asked, rolling your eyes for extra effect before they wondered down to briefly glance at his perfectly sculpted abs.
Fucking hell.
"I sensed your fear and then heard you scream. Are you aright?" Anakin asked concerned. His frame was now towering over you as he wandered closer.
You were perfectly in eye-height to his glistening abs. He started stroking the silk material that layered over my shoulder as I sat on the edge of the bed, still staring blatantly at his abdomen.
"As I said yesterday Anakin, I can look after myself," you spoke in an annoyed huff, leaning your elbows onto your knees as you rested my head into my hands.
"I know you can, but you don't have to. You don't need to suffer alone," Anakin preached gently.
"But I do Anakin," you raised my voice, swiping his hand off of me and standing up face to face with him, "I always have. I've been told that loneliness is the best and only feeling I should ever feel, because when I am alone, I figure out how to take care of myself and will be constantly reminded that the only person in the galaxy I can trust is myself," you recited, remembering the words Palpatine told you during your first lesson as his rising apprentice.
Truth be told, in your last 17 years of solitude you still haven't learned how to take care of yourself. However, you are in fact reminded that the only person you can trust in is yourself as no 'knight in shining armour' has ever held you by the hand, told you that everything would be okay, or comforted you during your times of need.
Things have changed though.
As of right now, you thought you might just happen to be looking at your knight in shining armour."Darling, whoever told you that loneliness is the best and only feeling you should ever feel is lying to you. As much as you learn to take care of yourself when you are alone, you also hold all the anger within and become a ticking time bomb, waiting to explode. There is nothing more lonely or terrifying as feeling unheard but I am now here to hear you," you let the words Anakin just said sink in. As much as his words were soothing and calming, what is 'terrifying' you most right now is how much you've opened up to him after knowing him for just a day. Even now you'd consider him still a stranger and that didn't sit right with you. This cannot happen.
You sniffed a little, wiping my nose. Not realising that you were on the verge of crying, "I have to get going," you announced.
"(Y/n), it's 2am," you glanced up at the clock, your eyes widening as you realised that you've been away from the Eclipse for nearly a day. The gravity of this whole situation- with your unannounced disappearance from the Eclipse, started to really tighten your nerves.
Palpatine is definitely going to kill me now.
"I really have to get going," you shakily said, Anakin could most likely tell that you were scared from the urgency in your movements as you rapidly gathered the clothes you used yesterday and went into the bathroom to change.
You happily took off the pink pyjamas- you still didn't like pink, and put back on the same wrecked clothes you wore yesterday, this time adjusting the belt onto your waist over the top of the shirt as the fact that you were force sensitive is out in the open and no longer needed to be disclosed information.
You undid the plaits you had in yesterday and let your hair fall down loosely behind your back, forming wavy curls in the length. You left the bathroom now fully clothed to see Anakin standing in the same position he was in before by the bed, only this time, he was holding my double hilted lightsaber in his hand.
And it was ignited.
I hastily summoned the saber to myself, un-igniting both ends of the saber and slipping it only the belt.
"How long was it going to take for you to tell me the truth," Anakin asked disappointedly, handing his head low and not daring to look you in your fake (y/e/c) eyes.
"Wasn't planning on it," you stated, bluntly.
He nodded his head slowly, using his tongue to push the inside of his cheek, "Surrender your weapon. Join me. I can show you what the right side of the force can do," his words definitely sounded appealing. You were so close to giving in, to follow your knight through the treacherous journey that laid ahead.
"I'm sorry Anakin," was the last thing you said as you rushed out the palace.
As you stepped on the land outside the royal gates and turned back around, "I'm sorry Padmé."
You started running through the meadows and back towards your ship, water swelling in your eyes as you hated what you were doing. It just felt so wrong.
You were quick to enter Scar and lock the ramp behind you shut. Changing back into your Sith Robes, you took off the contact lenses and started up the ship.
Anakin was right about one thing but wrong about another; there is nothing more lonely or terrifying as feeling unheard but- he wasn't now here to hear me. And that is my own fault.[sorry for the short chapter- kinda got rushed at the end, but buckle up for the next one cos im planning on making it pretty angsty]
