[ 14 ] A Blank Canvas

Hey guys. So I've finally gone thru and updated what I could to the previous chapters but honestly just got fed up and left the last few chapters. The way I'll be writing from now on is going to be in second person and I'll hopefully keep a lot more frequent updates :) Please feel free to leave comments I love reading them and hearing your thoughts <3

By the time there was no one in the canteen, you were on your 4th slice of cake and had 2 more lined up. You didn't bother with a proper meal, you were starving and wanted to eat something sweet. People spectating you would probably think that you haven't eaten in days... which isn't too far from the truth.

Obi-wan left along with the last group of other Jedi sat across from you not too long ago, all of which gave you dirty looks and of course, you responded to that by flipping them off.

"You might wanna pack the last slices for tomorrow," Anakin said amused.

"And you might wanna start running if you make me pack them for tomorrow," you responded, currently still contemplating whether you were being serious or not but Anakin took it as a joke and laughed it off.

Adam came hurtling around the corner, his shoes squeaking across the floor when he came to a sudden stop, "There you- are... (y/n)," Adam exhaled in separate breaths as he panted, "I've been looking everywhere for you you know. I thought you left the planet again."

As he was panting with his hands on his knees, you happily enjoyed your last piece of cake. Anakin was still watching you with both amusement and awe. Neither of you paying attention to the visitor.

"Well, the results are back and I've spoken to the council with what your next steps will be from here but I'll need to be back in the lab to explain so if you'd so kindly follow me," Adam said, already moving back in the direction he came from very sluggishly due to his current state of exhaustment.

Weakly; due to food fatigue, you pushed myself off of the seat you were sat on and back onto your feet however you started to wobble, realising that you have most certainly eaten too much.

Anakin was quick to stand up from his bench, holding onto your shoulders to steady you, "If you tell me 'I told you so' I will break your jaw," you threatened.

"My lips are sealed," He whispered in your ear with a smirk. You'd be lying if you said that butterflies weren't fluttering in your stomach right now, moving around the many pieces of cake that you've just inhaled. It wasn't till just then where you realised how close he was to you. Your back slightly pressed against his chest, his hands softly yet firmly holding onto your shoulders, his cool breath fanning the back of your neck. You felt the need to become uncomfortable and shove him off but you stayed still, relaxing into his touch.

Clearing your throat, you reluctantly peeled yourself away from his warm embrace, "Lead the way Adam."

You were lead in the same direction towards the previous youngling room with Anakin still by your side however instead of stopping there, you took a right turn and not too long after, found yourself looking though a glass window and into a lab. Both Yoda and Obi-wan were there.

"Masters," Anakin said, respectfully. Yoda replied by bowing his head down while Obi-wan just smiled.

"So," Adam started, grabbing a load of papers that had lines and numbers and a lot of words you didn't understand, "Your nociceptive receptors infused and are burnt to the point where the fibres are severely dehydrated," you just stared at him blankly and confused but he ignored you and continued,"Your macrophage count is also indescribably high, we're looking at near 15 million which is more than double the amount an average person should have and in return and lastly— from what we can tell, your skin has mutated in sorts where it can now refract light," he enthusiastically said, excited and astounded at your developments.
