Chapter 10

Warehouse
Elijah is lying in a coffin. Klaus is looking at him. Two men are standing nearby. They are in a warehouse filled with wooden crates.
Klaus: I suppose, brother, you've been reunited with our family.
He closes the coffin and looks at the two men.
Klaus: Put him with the others. We're leaving town tonight.
They puts him with others coffins. Stefan is standing nearby and receives a text reading "Damon's okay. Where R U?".
Klaus: So...Did Katerina make it in time?
Stefan: You won't be seeing her again, you know.
Klaus: Because she's on vervain? I've been around a long time, Stefan. I rarely get played for a fool. Besides, she won't get far. You'll help me see to that.
Stefan walks up to him.
Stefan: What is it you really want from me?
Klaus: All will be explained in time. Once we leave this tragic little town.
Stefan: Then are we done here? Can we go?
Klaus: Not quite. You see, I have a gift for you.
Klaus: Come here, sweetheart. Don't be afraid.
A girl walks over from behind a crate. Klaus looks at Stefan.
Klaus: See, I wanna make sure you honor our deal...that you'll be of use to me.
He bites the girl's neck and drinks her blood.
Klaus: I could have compelled her to behave, but a real ripper enjoys the hunt.
He releases her. She runs away, screaming. Stefan stops her, bites her and drinks her blood until she's dead. Klaus looks at him.
Klaus: Now we can go.

Clara pov:
When I arrived I called nik to tell him that I am here
Klaus: I thought you would be in the plane
Clara: well you know there is something called magic and I am in the location you sent me before I could continue he appeared infront of me
Klaus: I can't say I didn't miss you
laughting then he gave me a hug
Clara: yea I actually missed you too so when are we going to go for our road trip
Klaus: well let's go to the car stefan is waiting there
Clara: wait you said stefan ohhh no no no no I am not going anywhere with him
turning angry by every second
Klaus: love I know what happened between you two but he made a deal for him to save his brother and you don't really need to talk a lot I will not leave you alone with him
Clara: Ok then but I will come with my car
he went to his car and I went to my car and started driving to start our journey

2 months later

Right now klaus went to see the find the 2 woman and he left me with stefan
Stefan: so we are gonna ignore each other like that
Clara: what do you want now
Stefan: look both of us did wrong now can't we just start again from the beginning lara please i feel drowning every time I am drinking blood and the only thing keeping me sane is you I still love you and I know that you still love me so please
Clara: fine just at least have some time to grive Elena's death then we can take it slow
After that stefan went to do his part

Time skip
1 month later

So we found Ray in a club klaus turned him into a hybrid damon was following us so stefan dealt with him while saying he doesn't care and well if I don't know stefan well I would say he is telling the truth but who is he fooling other that himself and here we are going up to a mountain to see Ray' pack.

Smoky Mountains
Klaus Stefan and Clara are walking in the mountains. Stefan is carrying Ray, unconscious, on his shoulders.
Klaus: You okay? Is Ray getting heavy?
Stefan: I'm fine.
Klaus: what about you love
Clara: don't worry about me I am familiar with mountains
Klaus: You sure about that? You know, we've been walking for quite some time now. If you need some water or a little sit-down...
Stefan: You know, I get that we're, uh...we're stuck together, but if we could maybe just skip the chitchat, it'd be great.
Clara laughed
Klaus: So much brooding. Your self-loathing is suffocating you, my friend.
Stefan: Maybe it's 'cause I'm a little tired of hunting werewolves. We've been at it all summer.
Klaus: Thanks to our pal Ray, we found ourselves a pack. There.
They stop. They found the pack's camp. Stefan enters their camp. Everyone looks at him. He puts Ray on the ground. A woman rushes over to him.
Woman: Ray! Oh, my God. What's going on? Who are you?
Klaus joins Stefan.
Klaus: The important question is who am I. Please forgive the intrusion. My name is Klaus.
Woman: You're the hybrid.
Klaus smiles.
Klaus: You've heard of me. Fantastic.
Klaus and Stefan are sitting. Everyone is standing still, looking at Klaus and listening.
Klaus: It's fascinating, actually...A werewolf who isn't beholden to the moon, a vampire who doesn't burn in the sun. A true hybrid.
Ray wakes up.
Klaus: Excellent timing, Ray. Very dramatic.
Ray: What's happening to me?
Klaus: Stefan?
Stefan gets up.
Stefan: Are any of you human? Your friend here needs human blood to complete his transition to vampire. If he doesn't get it, he will die.
Klaus: Doesn't take much, just a sip. Anyone? A boyfriend, a girlfriend, along for the ride?
Woman: what about her
Klaus: she is off-limits
He looks at a man.
Klaus: You!
He rushes over to him and bites his forearm. Stefan grabs him, throws him on the ground in front of Ray. The woman protests but Klaus strangles her.
Stefan: If you don't drink it, Ray, I will. Problem is I don't know how to stop.
Klaus looks at the girl.
Klaus: It's the new order, sweetheart. You join us, or you die.
Woman: I'd rather die than be a vampire.
Klaus: Wrong choice.
He gives her his blood. Ray drinks the blood from the man.
Klaus: She'll thank me for that later. Heh.
He twists her head and kills her.
Klaus: Okay, who's next?
His eyes are yellow and his fangs are out.
Klaus gives his blood to the human and compels him.
Klaus: There. Good as new. Now you relax, okay, mate? We're gonna need you when the rest of them wake up.
Ray is sitting on a rock nearby, grabbing his body and shivering.
Ray: They're dead. They're all dead.
Klaus: Ah, he's through his transition. He should be feeling better soon.
Stefan: So is this your master plan? Build an army of hybrid slaves?
Klaus: No, not slaves. Soldiers, comrades.
Stefan: For what war, might I ask?
Klaus: Oh, you don't arm yourself after war has been declared, Stefan. You build your army so big that no one ever dares pick a fight.
Stefan: What makes you so sure that they'll be loyal?
Klaus: Well, it's not difficult to be loyal when you're on the winning team. That's something you'll learn once you shake that horribly depressive chip off your shoulder.
Stefan laughs.
Stefan: That's why you're, uh...you're keeping me around? To witness my attitude adjustment?
Klaus looks at Ray, sits next to him, and examines his face. Ray's eyes are bleeding.
Klaus: You'll know why I'm keeping you around when I've decided that I want you to know.
Klaus: Something's wrong.
Stefan: That shouldn't be happening, should it?
Klaus: Well, obviously.
He looked at clara
Klaus: can you help with anything
Clara: I can try to help ease the pain nothing more
Ray is shaking and his eyes are still bleeding.
Ray: You said it was gonna feel better. Why doesn't it feel better?
Stefan: Some master race.
Klaus: Lose the attitude.
The woman wakes up.
Klaus: Derek, come feed your girlfriend
He gets up. Ray snarls and makes a few jumps and leaves. Klaus looks at Stefan.
Klaus: Go get him.
Stefan jumps on Ray and pushes him on the ground. Ray bites him and leaves
Klaus arrives behind stefan and he starts walking in Klaus' direction so Klaus won't see them.
Klaus: Where did he go?
Stefan: He, uh...he got away. Forget him. Let's go.
Klaus sees his arm and grabs it.
Klaus: A fatal werewolf bite. Ouch.
Stefan: Yeah. I'm gonna need your blood to heal me.
Klaus: Well, I tell you what. You find Ray, and then I'll heal you.
Stefan: Can't be serious.
Klaus: You better hurry, 'cause that bite looks nasty.
Klaus goes back to the campsite and sees the others are waking up. All of their eyes are bleeding and they are looking towards clara
Klaus: Bad news, my friend. End of the road for you.
Derek offers no resistance as Klaus kills him by drinking his blood. The woman is in front of him.
Klaus: Careful, love. There's only one Alpha here.
All the werewolves are staggering around the camp, their eyes bleeding. They look like zombies.
Klaus : Bloody hell.
Clara: yeah there is definitely something wrong
Stefan walks back to camp back with Ray over his shoulders. The rest of the pack are lying on the ground dead. Klaus is there. Stefan drops Ray on the ground.
Klaus: They went rabid. Some of them, we killed. The others just...Bled out. In the end...They're all dead.
He yells and throws the bottle of beer in his hand. He screams at the sky.
Klaus: Screaming. I did everything I was told! Regaining his composure. I should be able to turn them. I broke the curse. I killed a werewolf. I killed a vampire. I killed the doppelgänger.
Stefan is uncomfortable.
Klaus: You look like hell.
Stefan: Last I checked, I'm dying...and you don't want to heal me.
He sees Klaus looking down at Ray's body.
Stefan: I had to take him out. I didn't have a choice. I failed you. I'm sorry. Do what you have to do.
Klaus: It should have worked.
He turns around and takes an empty bottle of beer. He bites his hand, makes a fist, puts the blood draining from it in the bottle and holds the bottle out to Stefan.
Klaus: Bottoms up. We're leaving. Stefan takes the bottle. It appears you guys are the only comrade I have left.
Stefan drinks the blood from the bottle and throws it aside.
Quickly I went after klaus
Clara: so where are we going now?
Klaus: we are going to Chicago...
