10: You Make Me Insane

"Uh.. Jay, I don't think that's a good idea.." Jungwon hesitated.

"I think it's a great idea!"

I suddenly turned and looked at Hyunjin strangely, "You do?"

His hard stare finally left Jay as he smiled down at me. "Of course, I would love to meet my girlfriend's school friend."

The word 'girlfriend' made me internally gag but I pushed it aside with a quick, unsure mutter of agreement.

Something tells me it's going to be a long day...

"I'm not going back into that maze!"

"Oh come on Jungwon! Don't be a baby!"

I smiled at the two bickering in front of me like children when suddenly a hand tugged on mine, clasping them together. I gazed up at Hyunjin. "What? You scared?" I smirked. Hyunjin sweetly smiled.

"Nah, I just don't wanna lose you in there."

His words sent a strange feeling to my stomach. a feeling I couldn't quite describe.

Did my heart just skip a beat?

Or was it butterflies?

"Let's go guys!" Jungwon's voice rang in my ears as I felt Hyunjin pull me along with them.

I walked alongside Hyunjin for some time, following Jungwon and Jay who were so sure they knew where they were going.

"We've already gone this way, twice." Hyunjin muttered, "Let's go the other way."

"I know where I'm going." Jay reassured tensely.

"It wouldn't kill you to try a different way would it-"

"Then go yourself!" Jay yelled, his voice echoing through the bushy walls.

Hyunjin scoffed, pushing past Jay and going the opposite direction, i stayed stuck in my spot in between the boys as Jungwon shuffled away from Jay ever so slightly. "Fine, I'm going this way. Y/N, you coming? or are you going to spend another 20 minutes circling around?" Hyunjin's voice came out raspy as he stared at me with anger lit in his eyes. I knew his anger wasn't toward me but I couldn't help but feel chills going down my spine.

"No, she's going to come with us because she actually wants to get out of here. right, Y/N?" Jay's head spun toward me.

I was now stuck in a dilemma.

Go with Jay and anger Hyunjin or go with Hyunjin and upset Jay?

shit.

"Y/N's coming with me!"

The sudden voice sprouted from Jungwon as he walked over to me and locked arms with mine, giving me a quick apologetic look before looking at the two. "And we're going to get out before both of you do!" he asserted.

Jay sighed before walking further into the maze. Hyunjin watched him disappear before sighing. "You sure you got it?" He asked gently.

Before I can reassure him myself, Jungwon swings an arm over me. "Don't worry Hyunjin, Your girlfriend is fine with me!" Jungwon smiled cheerfully at Hyunjin. He smiled softly in return before making his way further in the opposite direction

"We're lost."

"No We're not!"

"Jungwon, we're lost."

"Okay, a little."

I laughed a little, pulling him in a different direction. We kept walking for a while in silence until Jungwon turned his head to face me. "So, what's the deal with Jay and Hyunjin?"
