"Y/N! your phone's ringing!""Just answer it!" I yelled back to Yoonhee from the couch, invested in the movie the girls and I were watching.
She sped from the kitchen, popcorn and chips overflowing in one of her hands while my phone was in her other. "I really think you should be answering this yourself" She said.
I groaned, refusing to tear my eyes away from the TV. "Yoonhee for the last time, people can't hear you wearing a facemask." I finally looked over to snatch my phone, surprised to see my own reflection.
It was a facetime call... from Hyunjin?!
I immediately sat up on the couch in panic.
"Who is it?" Chaerin asked as Mina looked over my shoulder.
"Hyunjin's facetiming her~" The black haired girl snickered.
"He's been ringing for 5 minutes now, answer!" Yoonhee urged, scooting me up from my seat and taking it instead.
"r-right.. right!" I quickly ran to my room and shut the door, I let the phone continue to ring as I took a quick glance at myself in the mirror. I luckily showered earlier so I didn't look sweaty and gross from practice today, I sighed before sitting on my bed and propping the phone up as I finally pressed that green button.
The call zoomed out and all I could see was his forehead and hair. "Took you long enough." He grumbled.
"You're the one who called unannounced." I snapped.
Shuffling was heard on his side of the call as he propped his phone up so I could see his full face, he was looking down at something before looking at me for a moment, he then got close to the camera again.
"Aw~ Did you get all dolled up for me?" He cooed.
"Huh? No! I just showered earlier! That's all.." I insisted, feeling a ball of nerves in my stomach make it's way to my face with a pink hue.
"Boo, you're boring" He pulled away from his screen so I could see him fully again. I silently watched as he picked up a bag and began reading it. "I got these jellies, but I don't know if they're any good.. Felix said they taste like plastic." He then looked up from the bag and at me before looking down again.
He opened the bag and begin looking inside at the treats. "Did you eat today?"
I looked away for a moment, thinking about it. I spent so much time practicing that I couldn't remember the rest of my day. "I think I did." I shrugged.
Hyunjin reached inside the bag and pulled out a green jelly. "You think?"
I nodded. "We were really busy practicing for the music show tomorrow, Our manager also told us not to eat too much so we don't bloat before it."
I heard Hyunjin kiss his teeth with a "tsk" sound, or maybe it was the sound of the plastic seal tearing off the jelly he was opening. "Don't worry about that, If you're hungry you should eat."
"Got it." I said, my eyes straying away from him to look around my room.
"Look at me."
My eyes instantly found it's way to my phone again with a surprised hum.
"I'm going to give you a taste review." He said before taking a bite out of the jelly. He chewed for a while with no reaction.
"Well?" I asked, anticipating his reaction.
"It's good" He said with a smile, chewing for some more being pausing. "It tastes like plastic." He frowned.
I laughed at his disgusted face as he looked deeply offended at the jelly.
