The outside wind is beating chilly against you and Mia, but it's nice.

The world cooled down in the afternoon.

Or, Seoul, at least.

You were both wearing your uniforms, with large jackets draped over you. You share a set of earphones, as you show Mia one of your favourite songs. You had stopped at a convenience store on your way home, and purchased a bottle of strawberry milk - your favourite.

You shared it sip-for-sip, although Mia didn't like it nearly as much as you did.

You were laughing in sync before Mia suddenly shouted "Ow!" and turned around.

Instinctively, you turned around too, noticing her holding the back of her head. And when you looked behind, you saw the same conniving group of girls from school, behind you. This time, there were more of them. A boy was there, too.

Great.

The front-liner seemed to have a handful of rocks, which she started throwing at you while the others laughed.

"What the fuck!?" you held your arms in front of your face to shield you from the stones coming your way.

These fucking psychos.

"Not so strong without your daddy, are you?!" one of the girls called out.

"Piss off!" you shouted, quickly becoming angry as you and Mia tried helplessly defending against multiple flying rocks, but there was no shelter out on the sidewalk.

Instinctively, you stepped in front of Mia.

You held your arms out in front of you, making sure she was behind your gait.

"Why don't you tell him to come here now? Maybe we can get some crack off him, or something! Right!?"

Right?

You could only wish your dad would come if you called.

You didn't even answer. The girls kept coming towards you, slowly but surely, pressuring you into a corner that wasn't really there. There were some taller ones at the back that looked like rugby players, as well as the male. You were weary of them.

"Or what about your mum? Huh? Where's that ugly bitch?"

Your mom had been dead for three years.

In that moment, you bent down and picked up one of the stones that had bounced off your collarbone, and pegged it with your whole body, right at the group. It seemed to bounce off one of their faces, and your suspicions were confirmed once you heard a screech and noticed a small stream of blood before she covered the spot on her forehead.

At the first sign of retaliation, the girls came towards you even faster. The one you had hit stayed behind.

A fire in your gut took over your senses as months of suppression bubbled to the surface, and you saw red.

You ran towards them, adrenaline helping you force yourself through the wall of rocks coming your way while the girls aimed for you.

In seconds, the group split up into two - half of them defending against your attack.

You immediately shoved the closest girl to you, back. She stumbled over but someone else came in to counterattack. You swung a punch at the second girl, hitting her right in the face, and pulled away.

The shockingly instant pain in your hand was barely noticeable, as the fight broke out full force.

It was you against three girls and the man, and you were swinging blindly, just hoping to land a hit, but your arms felt like overcooked pasta. It felt like they had no limbs to hit, and you had no muscle to hit them with.
