One moment, you were outside.

Confused and distraught, surrounded by too many strangers. Your breath was stuck in your chest, and you were panicking.

And in the very next moment, you were in a bedroom. Still panicking.

It was one of the many bedrooms in Jimin's parents house, with the door closed and locked. And your wrist was hurting. You glanced down at it, noticing the faint red ring. You must have been dragged in here. It all happened so fast.

And she's here.

"Y/N. Start talking."

Her voice lights the room on fire. It's so sharp and so full of pain, and sounds completely different to when you had heard it last. It ignites every atom stagnant in the air and sends them right to your skin to ignite it.

Your eyes lift, a little messily.

"Mia..."

She glared at you across the dimly lit room, her features expressing a painful mix of concern and hurt. Her gaze is set on you standing at the edge of whoever's bed that was, with your eyes fixed on the floor.

Her arms are crossed firmly in front of her, showcasing loud and clear just how unhappy she was with you.

Her head nudges forward, urging you on.

"Mia...what are you doing here?" your voice was barely a whisper, yet it carried an air of coldness.

"That's the first thing you have to say? Really?"

You don't respond. You can't find the words.

"How about I start then." she pauses, finding a question immediately. "Why did you disappear, Y/N? How did you disappear?"

You remained silent, your shoulders slumped and your gaze distant.

"You fucking vanished! You were everything to me, and you left without a trace!" Mia's voice quivered with emotion. "You changed the locks on your apartment? Didn't return my calls or even bother to contact me for over a year? It was like you died."

The last word seemed to echo around the room. Each time it ricocheted you felt the crack in your heart split a little wider.

"I was worried sick about you."

It seemed like she really meant that. Her eyes were welling with tears.

Of course you knew this.

Of course she'd have been hurt. And no part of you wanted to deny your role in that.

Guilt is the sort of feeling you can't escape.

"And you fucking met up with Suga, too?! Yeah. Of course I know. You thought I wouldn't squeeze it out of him? Of course I did! I mean, what the fuck, Y/N?"

You couldn't bring yourself to face her. The alcohol certainly wasn't helping you regulate your emotions.

"I thought we were closer than that." Mia continued, the tears in her eyes now well and truly spilling. "I love you, Y/N, and it hurt so much when you cut me off without an explanation. I seriously didn't know if you were alive or dead until fucking Suga told me. Do you have any idea how horrible that is? That helplessness? Can you imagine if I did that to you?"

You finally looked up, your eyes moist with unshed tears. "I know, Mia. I'm sorry. But, what I was going through... it wasn't the kind of thing I could share with you. You were the last person I wanted to involve in it. It was dangerous for me, but it would have been more so for you. I'm... sorry, Mia. I'm so sorry."
