Cameron's p.o.v.
Audrey and i have been secretly dating for 3 weeks now. it hasn't been easy, lying to emma and all the boys. plus, sneaking around and all that is pretty hard.
"hey babe?" i look at Audrey, waiting for her to respond.
"yeah?"
"i gotta go. I'll text you?" i stand up, leaning over her. she nods and i press my lips to hers.
leaving her apartment, emma calls.
"hello?"
"hey Cam!" her voices raises, from excitement i assume.
"what's up, em?"
"i wanna go to lunch with you. can you meet me?"
"of course, where are you?" i shut my car door, buckling my seatbelt, struggling to keep my phone next to my ear.
"im near a California Pizza Kitchen, is that good, i was really cravi-wait. where are you?" she sounds suspicious, so naturally, my nerves start to act up.
"home?" i try to act cool, hoping it works.
"okay! so you'll meet me at CPK?"
"yes ma'am!"
"okay! love you, Cam."
"love you too." and the line goes dead, signaling she hung up.
pulling up to the restaurant, i see emma sitting outside on her phone. i smile to myself, walking over to her.
"hey twin." i say, sitting down.
"oh hey!" she puts her phone down to look at me. her smile covers her entire face, and i can't help but notice how much she looks like me.
"how've you been?" i pull up my menu, looking over it, deciding i want a slice of supreme & a slice of pepperoni.
"uhm, I've been good. last night and this morning i felt nauseous; but that's all." i just nod, not knowing what to say. we sit in silence for many minutes, before she looks up at me with teary eyes. "who are you seeing?"
her words shock me, my breath is drawn in and i start to feel nauseous as well. "w-what? how'd...how'd you know?" confusion hits me and i can't process how she would've figured this out.
"how long are you going to lie to me? i can tell you've been lying, Cameron. being twins, i can tell when something up. come on, Cam." her voice is laced with anger and hurt, her eyes filled with sadness and confusion. "i just thought we were better than that, i can't understand why you've been lying to me."
"emma, im sorry. i just knew you wouldn't be okay with it. im so sorry, emma. i shouldn't have lied, but i felt like i was doing the right thing for mine and her relationship." as soon as i say the last sentence, my eyes widen.
"you're seeing Audrey...aren't you? oh my god! you're seeing Audrey!!" she whisper/yells. "Cameron! why didn't you tell me?!" she puts her face in her hands, massaging her temples.
"emma, i would have! and i was going to! i just wanted to settle in with her again. i promise, i was going to tell you." i try to explain, she just looks up at me with narrow eyes.
"I'll see you later." she picks up her phone and purse and storms away to get car, leaving me to watch as she drives away.
Emma's p.o.v.
driving away from Cameron, the tears streamed down my face. i don't know why I'm crying, I've been feeling very emotional lately.
"Jack?! im home!!" i call, shutting the door and throwing my keys into the "key bowl."
"up here!" his deep voice rings through out the house.
halfway up the stairs, my phone starts to ring, i answer not even looking at the caller name.
"hello?"
"emma, hello!" the deep Australian voice chirps.
"Calum!! what's up?!" i haven't heard from him in a while.
"not much, would you like to come over with Jack?"
"lemme ask him, one sec."
