13. Halloween Party Mayhem

"Good morning sleepyhead~" Emily said to her boyfriend one morning. But Rhys was fast asleep. "I know what'll wake you up." The Succubus said with a smirk on her face. Then she began to tickle the Imp. Then Rhys woke up giggling and fell out of the bed. "Ow!" "Sorry honey." Emily said as she helped him up. "It's fine." Rhys said. Then the Succubus picked him up and then the two lovebirds entered the kitchen.

Rhys was very protective over Emily that morning however, so he stood behind her as she cooked. "Rhys I'll be fine!" She kept saying as she made them breakfast. "I don't care, I don't want that to happen again!" He replied as he watched her back. Suddenly there was a knock on the door. "Yo Emily, Rhys, you home?!" Came a voice. Rhys got to the door first and looked through the peephole. It was Apple, and Emily moved Rhys away so he wouldn't jump her. "Hey guys, I'm doing a Halloween costume party. There's going to be organized events and stuff, you can bring your friends to the party if you want to. It's gonna be a blast!" She said as she handed them flyers. "Alright, yeah, I don't think we're gonna be doing anything on this afternoon so we'll try to come." Said Emily as she looked at the poster. "Yeah, alright, tell your friends!" Apple said as she walked away. "We will!" Rhys answered back. "This is gonna be fucking awesome." The Succubus said to her boyfriend. "Yeah, why don't we go to the mall to buy our costumes at that Halloween shop after we've eaten our breakfast?" The Imp suggested. "That's a great idea honey." Emily said. The Succubus placed the food on the table and then the two at their breakfast.

Meanwhile, DeeDee and Loona were lying in bed, cuddling each other. They were fast asleep until DeeDee's phone began to ring. "H-Hello?...." DeeDee asked, a little sleepy and annoyed that someone was calling during a cuddle session. "Hey DeeDee!" Rhys yelled into the phone excitedly. DeeDee pinched his brow as he squinted. "Oh, Rhys, please don't yell." He groaned. "Sorry, but hey, listen, we got invited to.... A HALLOWEEN PARTY!" He bellowed even louder, extremely painful to DeeDee's ears. "Oooh. Okay, yeah. That's great man, send me the details, m'kay?" DeeDee said, holding the phone away from his ear. "Alright, talk to you later, buh-Bye!" Rhys said as he sent a photo of the poster to him. "Bye." Said DeeDee as he was hung up on. He tried to put the phone back on the night stand but it fell and hit the floor. "Oh boy." He said as he rolled over to the bed side and looked at his phone. It had several cracks on the corners and one going through the middle. He was very frustrated. "DeeDee." Loona said. "Yes?" "Come back over here." He rolled over and faced her, and almost jumped as he saw the annoyance on Loona's face. "Why did you stop cuddling me?" She asked, veins popping out of her face. "I got a call." DeeDee said, Loona began to rise out of bed. "Oh dear." The hellhound uttered as his girlfriend pounced on him! The two tumbled out of bed and rolled around on the floor. Their downstairs neighbor yelled suddenly, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING UP THERE?!" There was a short silence from the two. Then they burst out laughing as they sat up. They went back to cuddling in bed as they tried to enjoy a bit more time before having to get up.

Back at Emily's house, the two lovebirds had just returned from the mall with their costumes and some groceries. "Maybe we should change into our costumes now?" The Succubus Suggested. "Besides, the party starts at four and it's in three hours." "Sure, why don't you put your one on first?" Rhys replied. Emily smiled, picked up her costume and walked towards the bathroom to get changed. Rhys sat down in one of the dining room chairs as he waited. A few minutes later, Emily returned, and Rhys literally flew backwards in his chair when he saw her. "Is it bad?" She asked, now worried. "BAD?! You look amazing!" Rhys yelled as he sat up. "Oh, you like it?" She said, doing a twirl in her skirt. Rhys then went into the bathroom to get changed himself. When he came out, the reaction Emily had was no where close to what Rhys'."I-is I-it h-hot in here, o-or I-is j-just me?" The Succubus asked as she began to sweat. "I suppose so, but how do I look?" "Darling, you look Splendid." She said as she walked over to him, the two were about to kiss when they heard knocking at the front door. They went to open it, and as they did, they saw two faces they knew all too well. "Heyo!" DeeDee yelled as he walked into the house with Loona, the two were dressed in their costumes. "Hey guys, we were just about to call you!" Emily said, "Were you now?" Asked Loona suspiciously. "Uh huh!" Rhys tried to defend. "Rhys, your poker face is VERY bad." Commented DeeDee. "Nuts." Rhys muttered. "Anyways, the party starts soon, right?" "That's right, we ought to get going now if we want to be a few minutes early." "Alright, let's get going." Loona said. So then DeeDee, Emily, Loona, and Rhys walked off towards the Direction of Apples place.
