Arriving at the apartment Ryan sat Tyler and Emma in front of the tv to keep them occupied while he cooked dinner. He stood over the stove cooking up a chicken and some nice noodles in pans, while adding in butter and cream in a skillet to make Alfredo sauce.

Emily stood nearby, "I forgot how good you were at cooking." Ryan took a glance at her. "believe it or not there was a time when I wasn't." Emily laughed, "Really when was that?" Ryan had a thoughtful look as he responded , "Before I met Linda." Emily nodded "She was a good person." Ryan nodded "Yeah she was."

It was silent for a few moment's before Tyler and Emma came over. "Daddy can we play with our Legos before dinner?" Tyler asked, Ryan nodded. Emma tugged on Emily's hand, "Can you come play with us?" She asked with pleading eyes. Emily face morphed into puddy. "I would love too, you could even show me how to build a house made of legos." Emily followed them both out of the kitchen with Ryan watching them in amazement.

Ryan had always known that Emily was good with kids. He had seen it before but watching her interact with his kids was something different. It was almost as if a calmness came about with her when she interacted with Tyler and Emma. Almost like when Linda was... Ryan shook his head. No don't think like that Ryan.

Emily was having a grand time. Who knew you could have so much fun playing Lego with a Five and three year old. " Then you put this block on the next and then you add the window in. " Tyler instructed and Emily couldn't help but be amused at his carefully worded instructions. She was used to hearing instructions from a grumpy voice. Now however taking instructions from a Five year old with a sweet voice seemed like a treat compared to that.

After a couple more minutes, Emily had successfully with Tyler and Emma's help made a house completely out of Lego. "We did it." Tyler exclaimed pumping his little fist in the air while Emma clapped. " Yes we did give me high fives." Both Tyler and Emma did just that.

After a few more minutes of silence and building Tyler's voice came out. "I like you." Prentiss put her head up and looked at him and smiled, "What'd you say Tyler." "I like you." He said with much enthusiasm. Prentiss laughed, "I like you too." Emma said obviously not wanting to be left out. "You two are cute, I hope you know that."

"Our mommy use to say the same thing, she said that we were the most perfect children in the world." Tyler said with a smile though Prentiss could see the sadness behind it. "Well you're mother was a very smart women so if she said it I'm sure it was true." Prentiss responded. " You knew Mommy? " Emma asked.

"I did, she was my friend during the period when you're daddy and I worked together." Emily explained, "She helped me through a lot whenever I was down." She said comfortably. Tyler and Emma nodded and smiled.

Tyler then asked, "We're you're parents a Federal Agent like you and Daddy." His eyes shining curiosity. Emily laughed, "No my parents weren't Agents. My mother was a diplomat, do you know what that is." Both Tyler and Emma shook their heads. "A diplomat is someone who sort of makes sure than another country takes their countries who their representing best interest at heart." She tried to explain in the simplest way possible.

Tyler and Emma looked like they somewhat understand. "So like a lawyer inside a courtroom." Emma asked. Emily looked at her kinda surprised, Smart girl. "Yeah kinda like a lawyer except less arguing and more negotiation." Emily explained, " Of course because of her job we had to move around a lot, but I also got to live in really cool places. " "Like where." Tyler asked

" Well Italy, France, and the middle east. All different types of places. " Tyler eyes widened, "That's so cool." Emily nodded, "Yeah I got to see a lot of new things, places, landmarks. But I kinda wish we stayed in one place." Emma then spoke up. " Daddy said we're lucky to have family around us because not everybody is lucky. " Emily nodded "He's right."
