Trigger Warnings: Abduction, talks of possible child abuse, child sexual abuse.

There was tension in the air as Ryan and Emily sat at their respective desks. They had not spoken a word to each other the entire morning. Not to even say good morning. The playful banter that was often shared between was nowhere in sight. Nor was the teasing or the playful flirting.

Silence filled the air immediately when they arrived at the same time, and while Ryan took the elevator to the bullpen, Emily took the stairs. Their fight as fresh in their minds as an annoying thought. Rossi, who had come in just as they sat down at their desks, noticed the tension. He didn't say anything, though, as he continued walking into his office.

Reid now stood just outside the doors to the bullpen as JJ and Morgan got off the elevator. They stopped and stood there, giving him odd looks. "There a reason why you're just standing here, Pretty boy?" Morgan asked. "Look." Reid said.

Morgan and JJ looked and saw Ryan and Emily sitting at their desks and working on paperwork, it seemed. "So they're sitting down and doing some work." JJ said. "They haven't said a word to each other in the past 10 minutes." Reid said. Morgan gave Reid a look, "You've timed them?" He asked.

"Usually, they can't go about 3 or 4 minutes without talking to each other." JJ said, having a confused look on her face. "About 4 minuted and 10 seconds to be exact." Reid responded. Morgan looked at Reid and sighed, "Maybe they're really into the paperwork." He said. JJ and Reid looked at him with JJ 's face, basically calling him an idiot.

JJ then walked in first. Morgan and Reid followed her. "Morning." JJ said as she stood by Ryan and Emily's desk. "Morning." They both said without looking up and sharply. JJ shared looks with Reid and Morgan, who were sitting at their desks. Definitely tension. She thought.

Rossi then came down from his office to join the conversation. "So, anything new happen recently?" He asked carefully. Ryan, at that point, nodded, "Yes, actually. I have a date next weekend." He announced. Everybody's eyes widened. Morgan, JJ, and Reid shared uneasy looks.

"Uh, anybody we know?" Reid asked. Morgan, JJ, along with Rossi, gave him a look. Emily kept her eyes on her computer and tried not to react to what she knew Ryan was gonna say, but Rossi and JJ could see that it was distressing her.

"Yes. Rhonda." Ryan said. The others' eyes widened even more, "Rhonda?" JJ asked in disbelief. Ryan nodded, "Yes, she asked as I was escorting her out, and I decided to say yes after thinking we could have some fun." He said. Emily scoffed. The first sound anybody heard of her this morning.

Ryan looked at her, "You have something you want to say?" He asked, in a daring sort of voice. Emily looked at him in a way that reminded everybody of how she looked at unsub with venom and almost dare they think... disgust. "Oh no. I have nothing to say, Mr. Lover boy, it's not like I have a say in anything that goes on in your life." She said in a calm, sarcastic voice.

She then got up and pushed her chair away. "I'm going to get a coffee." She announced and went towards the lounge area. Ryan had an angry look in his face and also stood up from his desk, "I'm going to the bathroom and maybe visit Garcia also." He said as he went out of the bullpen.

The others just stood there at the desk with shocked looks on their faces. Morgan looked at them, "What in the hell just happened?" He whispered-yelled. They had never seen Ryan and Emily like this before. They had always been such buddy buddy that the team always expected them to give each other smiles and whatnot. Now, not only were they not giving each other smiles, but they were hostile to each other. It made Rossi wonder if hell was freezing over.

"I don't know." Rossi said. JJ clicked her tongue, "I've never seen them like that before." She said. "Neither have I." Morgan said. "Should I go talk to her?" JJ said, motioning to Emily. Rossi quickly shook his head, "No. If anything, I bet that the last thing she wants to do is talk this out. Let's just leave her be, for now." Rossi said.
