PROLOGUE
Tears started to form in the corner of my eyes as I looked at the cold metal cuffing my hands. I looked up and saw the high church like ceiling of this building were decorated with gold chandeliers and the scent of fresh lavender wafted in the air.
The room was adorned with expensive decorations such porcelain vases, gold statues, paintings made by well known painters and figurines that worth's more than my entire income in this lifetime. The room itself speaks out elegance and sophistication, as if the owner of this massive building was trying to flex how extravant and wealthy they are.
"Mama... Are we going to die?" a sweet innocent voice asked.
My train of thoughts that dominating my consciousness burst like a bubble. In an instant, I turn my gaze towards my son. He was still a child and yet he was experiencing such hardship in life.
His face was battered with bruises and wounds. I mentally curse because those poachers beat him up to stimulate my anger. I'm helpless and I can't do anything to escape from our predicament.
"I will do my best for us to survive." My voice broke and guilt was evident in my eyes.
"Is mayari a food, mama?" the clueless boy asked me as he touch his grumbling belly and look at me sheepishly. "My tummy hurts."
A sad smile graced my lips as this innocent little boy got swept by my own problem. I reached my arms out and hugged him. I love Aizen, my baby boy.
"Excuse me, sir. Can you give us some food? Me and my child are now hungry."
I called out one of the men who was wearing a white button-up long sleeve combined with a fitted waistcoat that was paired of with black slack pants and leather black shoes.
The two men inside the room we were locked in, looked at one another before nodding.
"Jack, the master said not to let our goods go to starve." The taller one said.
"Okay, Peter I will get them their food." said Jack -the guy who was in his late twenties.
When the guy named Peter was left alone in the room, he turned his head towards our direction and then smirked at us. His gaze was malicious and full of arrogance.
"What a fine catch. A Mayari in the flesh." Peter stated as he looked at us.
Mayari Tribe was now an extinct tribe that's native in the pearl of the orient seas. A tribe that dated back for a very long time with a rich history; yet the highborn tribe was wiped out from the Philippines during the colonialization of Spaniards in the Philippines.
But little did the world know, that a group of a Mayari tribe survived during the purging of the land in the Philippines. They fought countless of wars and little by little their numbers started to collapse.
Mayari was one of the most prominent tribes back in the old days. And up to the current era, they are still known as one of the heroes who fought for the independence of the Philippines. A mysterious tribe that was said to be protected by Mayari itself. The local diety of this country.
The Mayari tribe was a warrior tribe specializes in combat aspect and hunting. They have fair skin, tall statures, tantalizing golden eyes, red moistened lips. And all of them have icy white hair that can dazzled anyone upon seeing it.
During war times, the captured men and women of the Mayari tribe were also sold off for their enchanting beauty in a very expensive price. They were like a living work of art. A masterpiece! Simply phenomenal and breathtaking.
