We left early, and Bran was awake shortly before we left.
I told Robb that he must make sure he stays hidden in the room for at least a couple of days and under no circumstances was he to allow mother to leave.
I told him of my suspicion and what I had done to ensure Brans protection. He was annoyed with me for doing it all and not consulting him but I said he is Lord of Winterfell and his place was here, ensure the North was still going and if I can help lessen the burden I will.
He hugged me for it and told me I was the best. Which we all know is true.
I did not tell him about the faceless men I sent to end Bealish just after father is locked in the black cells. They will get my father out and Sansa.
I will send them two men for the gift for saving my father and Sansa.
We journeyed for a good few hours before Robert the oaf decided he wanted to stop to hunt. Even if we had plenty of supplies. He was wasting things and hunting for unnecessary sport.
I hated that.
Once he was finally finished, we travelled a few more hours before Cersei started to complain, and we pitched up for the night.
We took turns guarding because we did not trust the Lannister men, and then Jea approached me with a brooding look that he always had when he was not with his wife.
"What is wrong, brother?"
He was quiet for a moment before looking behind me, then back to me.
I think he was looking at Jamie Lannister as I felt his stare.
"The Kingslayer is looking at you."
"He asked to participate."
I said it right off the bat because there was no point beating around the bush.
I looked at Jeahaerys face. I could see disbelief, shock, anger, and them amusement.
"That is going to give Alarick a bit of challenge and Domeric."
That made me laugh because I had no idea Dominic had a crush, but he likes strong women, so that did not suprise me.
"No one can say I am not being fair, I had Loras, brother Willas, write to me asking as well. I agreed only because Loras has sung his praises and that Willas does not want to be Lord of the Reach due to his pigheaded father. Also, I have every second son in the Northern houses wanting to take part."
Jea laughed at this. He was looking forward to seeing Alarik deface when he had to fight more than he thought.
His sister was a true norhern rose, she had a body that could make most men hard, voice of a siren and the mischief in her eyes was enough to make most want to run away to stop being pranked.
We laughed a bit longer before I felt a tap on my shoulder and saw my sister Arya looking me.
"Can you tell me a story of your adventures?"
I smiled at her and opened my arms to her.
"Of course, my little wolf."
Then I told her some of our stories going beyond the wall fighting white walker and battling the three eye raven.
We overdo it a little, but she is young and would love these tales.
After she fell asleep, I carried her back to the carriage where Sansa was. She was awake and looked at me as I layered Arya down.
"Why can you not accept mothers' teachings and be a lady?"
I was not prepared to be asked like that, but she wanted to be a lady outside the carriage.
"Our mother is a southern lady, Sansa. We are not. You can pretend to be a southern belle, but we are winter wolves. We are stronger than other women and are made for more than what men of this world want.
You can go there and pretend to be what you are not, pretend you do not see the monster you are engaged to. Pretend not to see the wrong that those Lords down south are inflicted. Pretend you do not see the people suffering.
That is your choice, but the old gods talk to me and show me the truth. I will not be left to the whims of men.
I will make my own future, not just for me but for my daughters and other daughters who follow me."
