Chapter Twenty-Five: Traitors & Home

We had been on the Kings Road for a week on our way home.
The men were in good spirits and knew that once the long night was over, the North would finally be an independent kingdom once more.
I had been attending my duties but always made time for my sons, I wanted to be present as much as possible and that they were well guarded. Everyone was still wary, with Jaime Lannister free, and I reassured them with him always on some guard duty with the winter guard, and that quieten most people down.
Catelyn tried to force Father to allow her to come, but he refused and told her once more that she was banished from the North, but I knew she would try to get back in at some point.

He had asked me about someone else that he liked, and I encouraged it with a big smile, Jeahaerys was the same. He kept teasing father for it.
When we arrived at Mount Cailin, they had received word from our people in Kings Landing that Bealish, Varys, grand Measter Pycelle and Joffery had all died in different ways and I could not help but smile at that.
I had sent another correspondence to my people at the Citdeal to strike at the Measter that had been part of a order that have been murdering Targaryens and was part of the movement to have them all killed and there next target was Starks. They seem to want to remove magic in its entirety, and that meant getting rid of the houses that it was most prominent in.
They were a danger to my family, and I could not have that. They would have left the world of the living utterly defenceless.

I made sure everyone was stocked to return to their homes to spend time with their family's before we had to start manning the wall.
During this restore is when I was told that my people had been spotted, and I knew who it could be.

My father, Jaime Lannister, and I were waiting at the outer gate and saw my people with Sansa Stark and Tommen Water/Lannister.
As soon as Sansa saw our father, she ran straight to him and started to sob, we could not make out what she was saying but it was something with 'sorry' and 'regret' but I would still be wary because she needs to understand the consequences of her action and I could see Jaime talking with Tommen and reassuring him that he would be alright.
I talked with my men and they informed me of the trip and that Catelyn had found them part of the journey, shehad tried to join them but she was not aloud and when Sansa begged her them to do it, they just told her that Catelyn was banished.
She has been a pain since, apparently, but Tommen has been a sweetheart and very eager to learn with the guard, even asking if he trained enough could he join.
They were very patient with him and offered to help train him, which I agreed too but they had to check with Jaime as he was the boys uncle.

I turned my attention back to my sister, and she had calmed down some, but I could hear her asking for Father to bring Catelyn back home, and he refused.

You could see Sansa face change multiple colours. It seems that she tried to learn the art of manipulation in the south, and while she has improved, it is not the best.

"Why will you not bring mother home, I need her."

"Your mother betrayed the North more than once, and because of part played with her actions, your brother, good sister, and good brother are dead."

"But I need my mother, can't you just forgive her."

That seems to shock everyone present, including myself. I knew she was spoiled but to disregard our family life's so carelessly as if they were shit on a shoe.
Even though my father was having trouble, you could see the rage in his face because he knew that he had to address her previous actions.
