The boy who found me

chapter 5

She took a deep breath ,"Okay, lets go in," I had a hold of one of her sweaty hands as she started to pull the door open with the other. I hated the fact that she was scared of Broc.

I pulled her back so that she looked at me, "Remember what I said. Okay? Don't be scared of him, I wont let anything happen to you," I held her face in my hands because she wouldn't make eye contact other wise. I wanted her to know how much i care.

"Look Red, I can't leave you here by yourself," My blood boiled at the thought of her being alone with Broc.

She took my hands from her face just to take them in hers instead and then she let them hang between us. She looked sad.

"Tuck, thats really sweet but he wont let you stay here with me. It'll just make things worse," tears started to fill her eyes ,"You should probably just leave," She shook her head ,"I dont want you getting hurt too," she looked down at the ground.

I just stared at her in amazment at how beautiful she was. It pained me to see her so upset. She still wouldn't look at me and tears were droping on my shoes. I put my hand underneath her chin and lifted her face up so that she was once again meeting my eyes. Her cheeks were soaked with tears and I brushed a fresh one away with my thumb. She studied my eyes as I studied hers. I felt her cheeks flush under my fingers then she tried looking away. 

"Rain," she looked at me confused. I dont usually call her Rain ,"I am not ever going to leave you," I pronounced every word clearly.She simply nodded and had her eyes focused on our hands.

"I dont want you to leave Tuck," Then she looked into my eyes and she said the words as clearly as i did ,"But he wont let you stay," She shook her head again.

I wrapped her up in my arms and rested my chin on her head while stroking her hair ,"Who said that we had to stay here?"

She pulled away and looked straight up in my eyes with a smile ,"Seriously? You would stay with me if i left Brocs house?" Her eyes shined and sparkeled. 

When I nodded she tackled me with a hug ,"Tuck your the best friend ever! Where would we go?" I chuckled at her new attitude.

"Calm down Red. I was planning on us sneeking into your house and getting all your clothes and belongings, then we leave Broc a note saying that you left and that if he comes looking for you then you will tell the police everything that he has done to you. Then we go to my house and we will stay there. Simple as that," We smiled at eachother from ear to ear.

"Okay," she smiled at me. She hugged me again ,"We have to go in though. What was your plan for that?"

I thought for a while ,"We have to be very quiet and sneaky, if he catches us then show him that you are not scared anymore," She looked nervous again ,"Hey, don't get scared, he doesnt deserve that kind of power. I promise on my life Red, I wont let him hurt you. Just trust me," I stared down at her waiting for an answer.

She looked up at me through her lashes as she was biting her lip ,"Okay, lets go," she smiled.
