Spencer never really had a childhood, his father absent and his mother a schizophrenic. Rossi and Hotch step in and help him out, something to help him cope. The team step in as his aunts/uncles and are more than happy to help their pretty boy.
(A/N: I don't actually know the real date for Spencer's birthday. Apparently there's 2??? So I've decided to do it on the 28th Oct as I know how much Matthew and Spencer loves Halloween so I thought I'd do the one closer to Halloween)
Today was Spencer's birthday and didn't they know it. He had them up at 5:00am but let Garcia sleep in, they didn't want two grouchy toddlers to deal with. They decided to wait for everyone to turn up after his nap to open presents so that morning, they pretty much chilled (and maybe slept a little).
"Happy birthday buddy" Hotch kisses his temple once he woke up from a small nap on the sofa.
"Yeah" he sleepily smiles at him.
"Appy 'irthday Spencie" Garcia comes bounding in.
"Fanks 'cia"
"There's the birthday boy, now who wants breakfast?" Rossi asks them once it got to an appropriate time of the morning to have breakfast.
"Meeeee" they both cheer. Rossi made pancakes, muffins and had some cut up fruit for the toddlers to eat, they only had this sort of breakfast on a special occasion. They had breakfast and Hotch cleans them up before heading off to get Spencer dressed.
"Dada, open pwesent?" Spencer asks as he was being dressed.
"Hmmm, we'll see" Hotch smiles at him. He put him in a long sleeve white bodysuit, a pair of grey joggers and a long sleeve white shirt that had 'THE BIRTHDAY BOY!' written on it.
