You left your college dorm. It was hard work here, at college. You'd either be working hard in the class, or you'd be working hard on homework in your dorm. You'd rarely get a break, but you appreciate it when you do. Unfortunately, today wasn't one of those days, even though you really needed it. It was around midnight and you were walking around outside in the thick fog. Yeah, sure, it was dangerous to do this, especially with the resent reports of fellow students disappearing in such conditions, but you continued on your walk. You weren't scared of possibly disappearing, 'cause if you knew where you were, you technically didn't disappear! Or that was your reasoning.

After some time, you decide it was a good idea to go inside. A building could be seen through the fog, so you walked towards it. As you approached the building, you noticed that it appeared similar to... something. You couldn't recall what specifically. It's been forever since you've seen any form of movie, or read any book, for fun, so it wouldn't be surprising if that's why it seemed familiar.

A hidden step tripped you up, but luckily you steadied yourself. The building in front of you looked larger up close, and fancier than you thought. You decided to turn around and head back the way you came, but when you turned... the path was gone! "What the?!" You mumbled to yourself. You continued to push forward, even though you couldn't see the path. You stumbled a lot, but it wasn't too surprising to you. It was honestly hard to surprise you. You were often too focused on stuff to be surprised by any thing any more.

You froze when you felt something zoom past you. You carefully looked around trying to find whatever it was that sped by. You doubted you'd see it with how fast it felt, but nothing wrong with checking, right? What if whatever it was was why students kept disappearing? Or what if the students didn't just disappear? What if something worse happened? You stiffened at the thought. It made sense, but you really hoped that wasn't the case.

"Hey, there!" a voice spoke. You spun around, but no one was there. We're you hearing things? You hoped so. You heard a soft thump behind you. You spun around, again. In front of you, now, was a large golden brown furred monkey with some clothes on. His clothes looked old Chinese style, or so you guessed considering everything. You opened your mouth ready to scream, but the monkey swiftly placed his hand on your mouth, muffling your scream.

"Sh! Quiet! I'm not really supposed to be here!" the monkey whispered. You licked his hand, hoping he'd pull his hand away. It worked! But it also gave you a mouth full of fur! He whipped his hand away, shaking off your saliva, while you scraped the monkeys fur off of your tongue. "Eew! What was that for!?" He whisper shouted. "You covered my mouth! What else am I supposed to do?! You could be a kidnapper! I am not getting kidnapped without a fight!" You whisper shouted back. "Fair point." He agreed.

The monkey held his hand out and smiled. "I'm the Monkey King!" He introduced himself. Physically you stared with an expression that said What. Really? But you mentally gaped at this. The Monkey King?! As in from the show your younger sibling, S/n, always watches?!  "Okay, you got to be pulling my leg!" You muttered. His smile was replaced with a look of confusion. "Huh? What do mean? Why would I be doing that?" He asked.

You laughed. "Who put you up to this? Who's idea was this? Why in the middle of the night?" You asked while laughing. "You do realize that others are worried, right?" You continued. Monkey King was genuinely confused at this. He was rubbing the back of his head with one hand while the other was on his hip. His eyebrows were scrunched together in confused thought.

"What? What are you talking about?" He asked. You looked at his face and stopped laughing because of his facial expression. "Ar- aren't you in a costume?" You asked. Worry and anxiety slowly pooled in your gut. This has to be a joke, right?:"Pfft! Why would I be in a costume!?" He started to chuckle. "W- Where am I then?" You whispered softly. Monkey King tilted his head. "Where do you think you are?" he asked you. "Y/C/N (Your Colleges Name)." you answered. He glanced at you, clear confusion and amusement on his face. "Nope. Wrong! Never even heard of it!" He chuckled. "Did you get spun around somewhere? Or maybe-" he stopped. "Hey, are you okay?" He sounded concerned, but you couldn't really tell. You were looking down as tears fell down your cheeks and things slowly darkened. You were feeling shock! You only felt it this bad once before, when you were younger. The world around you tilted then everything went black.
