Sirius and Remus sat together in the cozy living room of their home, bathed in the warm, soft light of the fire crackling in the hearth. It was a rare moment of tranquility in the midst of the turmoil and dangers they often faced. Remus held a book in his hands, but it was clear he was lost in thought. Sirius, on the other hand, was playing idly with the feathered quill that sat on the coffee table.
Their home was a haven, a place where they could find solace and peace away from the troubles of the world. The room was adorned with bookshelves filled with volumes on various subjects, a testament to their love of learning. Portraits of their dearest friends hung on the walls, and the scent of a freshly baked apple pie wafted from the kitchen.
The quiet in the room was companionable, as it often was, and they enjoyed each other's presence in the comfortable stillness.
Sirius grinned mischievously and said, "You know, Moony, I've been thinking. Maybe we should get a pet."
Remus chuckled, leaning closer to Sirius. "Oh, and what would we name this grumpy cat of ours? Padfoot Jr.?"
Sirius laughed, "Padfoot Jr.! That's perfect! And for a cat, it'll be incredibly ironic."
Remus grinned and gently bumped his shoulder against Sirius'. "You know, Sirius, a grumpy old cat named Padfoot Jr. could be the perfect addition to our little family. I think we're already expanding in the best way."
Sirius's eyes softened as he looked at Remus. "You know, Moony, we've got a lovely life together. And speaking of lovely, I've been thinking about our wedding. We should make it something special."
Remus smiled warmly. "I couldn't agree more. I want it to be a day we'll remember forever. And we should invite all our friends and family. It's not just about us; it's about celebrating our love with everyone we care about."
Sirius nodded. "Absolutely. We'll throw the best wedding the wizarding world has ever seen. And I have a feeling that with you, our comets, my pun and Padfoot Jr. around, our life will always be full of laughter."
Remus leaned in closer to Sirius and whispered, "What do you think about a summer wedding, right when the weather is warm and the flowers are in full bloom?"
Sirius grinned, "A summer wedding, huh? That sounds perfect. Just imagine exchanging vows under the bright sun and clear skies. I'd love that."
Remus nodded with a sparkle in his eyes. "I can already picture it – the perfect day, surrounded by our friends and family."
Sirius chuckled, "I can just see Harry and Emma as our flower children, strewing petals down the aisle."
Remus laughed, "Oh, they'd love that, wouldn't they?"
Sirius leaned back, deep in thought. "We should invite the old gang, of course. Marlene and the Weasley, if that's even possible..."
Remus smiled, "That's a good idea. And maybe a few old Order members who are still around."
Sirius grinned, although a hint of nervousness crept into his expression. "Speaking of the old Order members, I have an interview with Shacklebolt for becoming an Auror coming up soon."
Remus nodded in understanding. "You'll do great, my love. You have the skills and the courage for it. Just be yourself, and they won't be able to resist having you on board."
Sirius sighed, a mix of excitement and trepidation in his voice. "I hope you're right, Moony. It's a different kind of battle, but if it helps make the world safer, it's worth it."
"I can't help but feel that something's not quite right, Moony," Sirius confessed. "All these bizarre incidents happening at Hogwarts... It's unsettling. Which is why I need to get back out there as soon as I can"
