The sudden commotion jolted Emma from her sleep, and she found herself blinking against the drowsiness. The muffled voices of Ginny, Fred, and George floated through the air, accompanied by the unmistakable sounds of a heated argument.
As she groggily sat up in bed, Emma couldn't help but wonder what mischief the twins had stirred up this time.
Slipping out from under the covers, Emma made her way towards the source of the commotion, her senses gradually adjusting to the dim lighting in the corridor.
The voices grew louder, and she could now distinguish Ginny's furious tone among the banter of the mischievous twins.
As she rounded the corner, the scene unfolded before her. Ginny, her face contorted in anger, was berating Fred and George for some prank they had undoubtedly pulled on her. The twins, with their trademark grins, seemed entirely unrepentant, clearly reveling in the chaos they had caused.
Emma couldn't help but stifle a yawn, watching the familiar dynamics of the Weasley siblings play out before her.
The fiery-haired Weasley stood with her hands on her hips, her eyes narrowed into furious slits. Fred and George, the architects of the chaos, faced her with mischievous grins that only seemed to infuriate her more.
"What in the name of Merlin do you two think you're doing?!" Ginny's voice reached a crescendo, her frustration palpable.
Fred, ever the one to push buttons, replied with a nonchalant shrug. "Just a little joke, Ginny. Lighten up."
Ginny's nostrils flared, and her wand hand twitched, a clear sign that she was on the brink of unleashing her temper in magical form. "A little joke? Turning my hair blue is just a little joke?"
George chimed in with a cheeky smile, "We thought it brought out the color in your eyes."
Ginny's face turned a shade of red that rivaled her hair. "I'll show you what brings out the color in my eyes!" With a swift motion, she raised her wand, ready to retaliate.
Emma, caught in the middle of this sibling squabble, couldn't help but find the situation both amusing and chaotic.
Molly appeared at the scene, her presence carrying both authority and concern. She surveyed the situation with a practiced eye, taking in the disheveled appearance of Ginny's newly transformed hair and the unrepentant grins on Fred and George's faces.
"Ginny, put that wand down this instant," Molly commanded, her tone brooking no argument. Ginny reluctantly lowered her wand, though her glare remained fixed on her mischievous brothers.
Fred and George exchanged glances, fully aware that they had pushed their luck.
Molly turned her attention to them, her stern gaze enough to make even the most daring troublemakers reconsider their actions.
"I can't believe the two of you! Honestly, do you ever think about the consequences of your pranks?" Molly scolded, crossing her arms.
Fred attempted to defend their actions. "Come on, Mum, we didn't do anything."
Molly's expression softened, and she sighed, her maternal instincts prevailing over her frustration. "Look at poor Ginny. You two are unbelievable."
Ginny, now with blue hair, shot her brothers a triumphant look.
Molly, with a mix of exasperation and affection, ushered them away. "Go clean up this mess, and don't let me catch you pulling pranks like this again.'"
She then turned to Emma, her expression softening.
"Dear, don't let their antics distract you from breakfast. You have a long day ahead," Molly advised, the warmth in her voice revealing a genuine concern for everyone under her care.
