𝙨𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙮 𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙥𝙨

"M/N" Daniel nudged me. "Do you want to go say hi to the new girl?" he asked, glancing over and over to the newly arrived girl, Crystal, small in height and chubby, a perfect target of bullies who had already gathered around her desk.

I nudged Daniel back lazily, almost slipping off my desk as I replied, "no". I felt a swift wind beside me, before I realised Daniel was gone.

He was standing up for the new girl since some goons were making fun of her.

"Leave her alone you punks" Zack yelled beside me. His hands still in casts. "M/N open this for me"

I recalled the foresight oracle card I used few weeks ago. According to what I saw, Crystal continues to get bullied more severely since Daniel and others seems to give their attention to her. Daniel will even develop a crush on her.

"What an easy guy..." I mumbled, giving back the wrapper to Zack.

"What did you say?" Zack leaned closer, face scrunched up ugly in confusion, "And can't you see my hands? Feed me. I'm a hero."

I took the salty chips in my hands before feeding myself and Zack.

"Daniel is so nice"

"He's looking out for her"

Zack crunched his chips beside me, "Is Daniel is really that nice? What do you think" he crunched more

"He is" I crunched, "but the new girl may get the wrong impression of him" I crunched harder.

"Are you going to eat it all by yourself?"

"Sorry...here"

What played infront of me was a theatre play. Zack holding Crystal by his legs, Daniel standing nearby and all bullies witnessing it.

"I didn't kick her" Zack looked at me, deadpanned, forgetting about the girl he just dropped.

"Let me carry that" Daniel smiled.

I knew if we all walked together, it would make Crystal's school life worse. Yui and her lackeys were already standing there.

"Let me take that Daniel" I took the bunch of sheets from his hand. It'll be better if I send those two away right? Most of the girls were smitten for Daniel and Yui likes Zack.

"But-"

"And either way, I have some work to do in the staffroom so I'll just drop it off there along with Crystal" I glanced at Crystal before moving forward, she joined my side in a few seconds.

We walked in silence for a few seconds before curiosity got the best of me.

"Did you and Daniel go home together?"

She seemed taken back by my question. "We didn't plan it out, it was a coincidence. I was going home and noticed a couple of thugs disturbing a stray dog so I stepped in and Daniel just happened to-"

"I see" I cut her off. "I believe this is where you were going?" We stood in  front of the staffroom.

"Oh" she looked up before nodding.

"You can take it from here right?" I gave her back the sheets. She seemed hesitant and surprised as she took the sheets.

"Didn't you have some work in the staffroom as well?" She asked.

"No I didn't"

There is our class teacher inside that room and I still haven't submitted my project. Do I look like I have a death wish?

I snickered as I went back to the classroom.

It was end of school. I quietly and peacefully went my way to home. Daniel and Crystal are probably taking care of Enu right now. Good for them. I smiled.

"Hey, Daniel," I called out, my voice echoing through the empty streets, "Was it necessary to drag me all the way here?"

Daniel caught me in the middle of my way. He said that he was buying dog food. Eat dog shit you mother-

"You should see the stray dog I saved yesterday." Daniel smiled, oblivious to my frustration."She's wary of humans.....huh? Crystal?"

I looked down on her but my attention was caught by the malnourished dog who growled.

"Dummies, you guys only bought food. She needs water too"

"You also only bought food Crystal. You didn't bring water as well." I retorted

I took my water bottle out of my bag. I still hadn't reached home so I still had my bag with me.

"Hand me that can" I signalled.

Although a little aggressive, Enu drank water.

I was crouching beside Crystal, we both tending Enu and I guess Daniel felt left out as he crouched beside me.

"Crystal.....isn't school life hard? I can-"

"You're Daniel right? Thanks for your help but I don't need sympathy. If this girl is fighting alone then I can survive on my own as well. I'm not weak as you think." she smiled, a bright light shone on here.

It was already past evening. Where the fuck did the light come from? I looked up at the orange sky confused.

Daniel was probably blushing right now. The blush wasn't really visible but I mean the foresight oracle card can't be wrong right? It was provided by the system afterall.

"You are tough Crystal..." Daniel mumbled smiling.

This wasn't in the plot.

If a character started making up their own dialogue without the reincarnator's involvement, it could pose a problem for the storyline.

I stood up abruptly, scaring both of them as well as Enu.

"I..I have to head back real quick. It's late" I smiled crookedly before walking away from them. Their stares could be felt.

"Did...I say something wrong?" Crystal asked

"I dragged him here. It's my fault"
