"This is...awesome" Aru breathed, looking around. Aiden felt the same way. Were those...random telephone booths on the street? Wow.

"Uh, first thing we have to do" Aiden pulled out his phone. "We need to check in with the school's private number"

"I'll do that" She volunteered. "You find out where we're staying. Its called mecganz or something"

"Mecgranzi"

"Same thing"

He looked it up. "20 minutes walk from here. Around a 8 minute drive"

"I'm not spending money in less than an hour" Aru huffed. "Pick up your strength, ammamma, because we're walking"

Aiden stared at her. "It's been a while since you called me that. Or anything other than 'Acharya', 'Aiden', or dumbass"

"What's made you so nostalgic recently?"

Aiden didn't really want to say it, but he said it anyway. He looked straight into her eyes (which was quite hard, since she was only up to his shoulders "You"

Aru looked away first, probably swayed by his intensity. She muttered, "The hell"

Aiden started looking up the directions. "This way"

Aru followed him quietly, without saying a word. He himself mentally scolded what made him do that. What happened to being chicken, you piece of shit?, he asked himself.

As they checked in, Aru talked to someone. "I'm safe. Mom, im safe, I'm telling you. Okay. Oh. Okay. Love you"

Aru sighed and then looked at him pointedly. "Are you not gonna call your mom?"

He nodded and then she left his room. "I'll unpack or whatever. And then we can discuss rules or something"

"Aiden! How's the trip? How's London?"

"Mom, it's been less than an hour" He laughed. "The trip was fine"

"Is Aru bullying you?"

"Bullying me?" He blinked. "Um, not really. She's actually been nicer than she's been throughout the years"

"If she's mean to you-"

"Mom, I'm 18" He reminded her. "I can deal with her myself"

"I want to talk to her"

"Mom-"

"Aiden"

Aiden pulled away the phone from his ear and yelled. "Shah, mom wants to talk to you"

"She does?" A confused look was on her face while she came. "That's a first. I don't think she's ever talked to me once after 7th grade"

He handed her the phone.

"Uh, hello, Mrs. Acharya" She greeted awkwardly. "Bullying? Is that what he told you? Oh. I wouldn't say- oh woah. No. Um. That's not going to happen, don't worry. We will also not be doing that. At all"

Aiden decided now was a good time to take back the phone since he could make a good guess of what she's saying.

"It's me again" He clarified before she kept on spewing something. Aru crouched and covered her eyes, probably in embarrassment or trauma.

"What did she say to you?" Aiden asked after he cut the call.

"You can guess" She got up and left the room. Aiden sighed, since he could guess. He really needed to talk to his mom about that later.

That was when he realized how far he was from home.

He looked out the window. They weren't too high up, not high enough for Aru to be scared. He was relieved for that.

As he stayed silently homesick, he started to unpack when he heard a loud 'Shit!' From the other room.

Aiden sighed again and knocked. "You okay in there?"

Aru opened the door in exasperation. "Care to tell me why Rudy's stuff is in my suitcase?"

"How should I know?"

Aru opened the door fully, allowing him to come in. Upon closer inspection, he saw a note that said 'Donut miss me too much, guys! You and Aiden can share this, if you'd like~'

"A donut blanket" She pointed at it. "Control your cousin. This is now yours"

The blanket was pushed to him. He replied, "Isn't he your best friend? It's yours"

He pushed it back to her. Aru shook her head, "You're related by blood. I'm not going to have this"

"I-"

"Ah-ah. Shut" She jabbed a finger his way. "That's yours. I'm going to take a shower and then explore. Maybe talk to some other contestants"

"We could go together?"

"If you want" She got up. "See ya. Get out of my room"

Aiden got out of her room, but little did he know what was coming for them on that fateful day.

And then they got married and lived happily ever after. The end /j (unfortunately)

Ugh I want to move this along, but the slowburnnnnnnn.

Ok. How's the chap?
