"and when we go crashing down, we come back every time, 'cause we never go out of style."

No matter where they were, they got looked at.

Something that comes with being a Ferrari driver, he supposes.

Although, if he was honest there may be other reasons.

They once played a game with fan assumptions about the two of them.

Charles himself got to read a card that said: "You have to be devilishly handsome to drive for Ferrari."

Of course he acted humble in that moment and said that this is not true.

But if he was honest to himself; Carlos was indeed devilishly handsome.

He would also say the same about himself, if it wouldn't sound so arrogant.

It was a quote that got stuck in his head.

It filled up his ego even more, that their fans agreed. He saw a lot of fans saying online that he was wrong and that the quote was in fact true for the two of them.

They were arriving at the paddock. The sun was shining and it was fairly warm.

He could already hear the fans screaming and the cameras clicking, despite the fact that they didn't arrive yet.

He looked up from his phone, through the black colored windows and did now see what he heard before.

Then, he turned his head and let his eyes linger on Carlos. The Spaniard was looking outside the window, just like he did a few seconds before.

Charles let his eyes wander over Carlos face. He seemed a bit tired, but was still as beautiful as ever. His hair was fluffy, his skin clean and his jawline sharp as a knife.

When Charles looked him down, he noticed that their clothes were actually matching today.

He smiled.

The photographers would be glad.

When Carlos started to speak, Charles eyes were fixating his mouth again.

"It still amazes me how many Ferrari fans are here every weekend for us."

Charles let out a small laugh.

"Just to get disappointed again and again."

Carlos looked at him.

"It also amazes me how unhinged you are when it's just the two of us. I don't know how many times I heard you say in interviews, that it was not the teams fault. I don't think I heard you complaining like, ever."

"You know how it is, can't throw the team under the bus."

"No, but you could speak in a way that is more open for interpretation."

"Maybe I should start doing that. I'm still angry about that one stop strategy call. How stupid. I should've known when Pierre laughed at me before the race."

"I'm sorry."

"Don't be, it wasn't your fault. I'm glad they didn't put this shit on for the the both of us."

"Yeah me too, but I'm still gutted for you."

"Thank you, Carlos."

"Nothing to thank me for, Charles. I just wish we could have Bahrain '22 back. Although we could swap places this time actually."
