"I loved you in spite of deep fears that the world would divide us."
„You're starting to rub off on me." Carlos joked as they both get dressed again.
„Please, we will be like what? 30 minutes late? That's not even being late." Lando countered.
„It is when your whole family is waiting for you and your mother warned you about being late to this." Carlos sighted.
„Aren't you old enough to not listen to mommy anymore?" Lando teased.
Carlos rolled his eyes.
„Are you done now? The drivers are already outside."
„Hmmm..." Lando said, coming closer to Carlos again, wrapping his arms around his neck.
„Done with you? Never." Lando said, a smirk dancing around his face.
Carlos rolled his eyes again but there was no malice behind it.
„Your shirt is still halfway open." he said, raising an eyebrow at the brunette curly head in front of him.
„And? I'm ready to go."
„You're insuff-"
He got caught off with soft lips and a wet tongue. For a second Carlos just gave into it, but when he felt the smirk between the kisses, he broke the moment.
Lando immediately pouted at him, but Carlos shook his head.
„You're not getting away with this, let's go. And tie your shirt properly, will you?"
With that he left Lando, getting downstairs to meet his driver that would drive him to the location where the party, he was supposed to be thirty minutes ago, was happening.
Before his car took off, he saw Lando getting into his car. A wink and a shirt that was clearly not buttoned up how it was supposed to be, was the last thing he saw, before he lost Lando out of his eyesight.

Arriving at the party late was bad itself, but the paparazzi outside, made everything worse.
After making his necessary stop, he finally could escape the flashing lights and annoying questions he got thrown at him and headed inside.
The white marble walls almost welcomed him like a warm blanket. They were always there, a quiet reminder that this was his life, that he wasn't just someone that could blend into the masses.
Carlos let his eyes scan the room, looking out for familiar faces. He saw his family, talking to Charles and George.
He made his way to them, already waiting for his mother to scold him immediately for being late. As soon as she saw him, it happened. No time for excuses it seems.
„Carlos, hijo there you are. Where have you been? I told you not to be late for this. The royal family of Spain is here and I just had to tell them you'll be here soon."
„Mamá, i'm here now am I? I was just struck in traffic."
Charles next to him crocked an eyebrow, then leaned into him.
„Did the traffic also left a mark on your chest and buttoned up your shirt wrong?" he murmured.
Shit.
Carlos cleared his throat.
„I need to use the bathroom. I'll be back with you."
„Hurry up!" his mother whisper-shouted at him.
