The Rescuer's MC Bk 4

Chapter 7 - The next day.......

To say that Leon and Tasha had been unnerved about what had happened at the club house last night would definitely be an understatement. For Leon, as much as he liked the guys of the MC and knew that they would do everything in their power to keep her safe, he was very worried about Tasha. Who knows what might happen while she was there?

All night that night, he kept getting up over and over again, unable to sleep at all so he paced his bedroom until he nearly wore a path into the carpet.

Natalie, Dr. and Mrs. Allen had been very upset when he had told them what had happened and were all very understanding about why Leon had come home late and had been so upset.

After Joey and Kelly were in bed last night, the Allen's had talked to him and agreed that Tasha could come and stay at the house with them but also made it very plain that she could not stay in the same room with Leon.

Because they didn't have any other rooms available, Natalie told them that she was going to go back and stay at the club house and let Tasha have her room, at least until Tasha could find her own place.

If Natalie had been honest with them all, she really didn't want to live with the Allen's but she felt obligated to stay with the children, to protect them. Her problem was that when she was away from Thor she felt so lost without him. He was being very understanding about the situation so far but she knew it was eventually going to be a strain on their relationship.

She also felt so guilty for having allowed Leon and Tasha to go riding around with only Jess yesterday because it seemed that they would be safe enough so long as they stayed in Leon's car. Since he had promised her that they were just going to drive by some of the places Tasha had found rental listings for in the paper, she had finally let them go alone after Leon had whispered that it would be too hard for him to steal kisses from his girl if she was riding with them.

"But Jess will be with you." Nat had teased him.

"Yeah, but in the club SUV, not the same car as us." Leon had grinned and Nat had finally agreed.

When Leon told her that they had ridden around all afternoon with no problems until they had gotten back to the club house, Natalie had felt literally sick to her stomach when he related what had happened. Things could have ended much worse if it hadn't been for Ace being on the roof and warning Prez to get them out of harm's way in time.

Now Natalie felt like she was being torn in so many different directions and it scared her that Thor and her relationship with him was going to be the first and most damaged by the incident so Natalie hadn't slept much either. She loved Thor so much but she also loved the Carter children and Tasha. Tasha had become like her little sister or a niece since she had been such a big part of Cami's life. Lord, she missed Cami so much.

It hadn't really surprised her when she went down to the kitchen for coffee the next morning to find Leon already there, sitting at the counter sipping on a cup of coffee.

"Morning. What has you up so early?" She asked as she noticed that the pot was already half empty when she poured herself a cup of coffee then sat down at the counter with him.

"Morning. I never went to sleep. I'm worried about Tasha and Joey and Kelly. Nat, do you think we might be putting the Allen's in danger by staying here? They have been so nice to us. I would hate to see anything bad happen to them because of us." Leon said.

Nat took a minute or two to think about what she should say to him and last night a lot of her thoughts had been trying to come up with a way that she could be with Thor and protect the kids with their new family as well. She is only one person and she can't be with all of them all the time. Just thinking about how much she would have to divide her time made her feel exhausted already.
