Chapter 8 - Shopping!

As suspected, Prez called for Church right after breakfast and Digger looked over to see Amanda coming towards them. As soon as she arrived at the table, Digger stood up and told Amanda good morning.

"Babe, I've got to go to Church but if you can hang out with the other ole' ladies, I'll come and find you as soon as we are done." Digger said and gave her a quick kiss on the forehead and then joined the other men as they walked to the meeting room.

"So, Stephanie. What are you guys planning on doing today?" Amanda asked.

"Well, I'm hoping they have found what is wrong with my car first of all. Then I need to figure out how I'm going to afford some more clothes. Digger took me last night and bought me two outfits but I'm going to need more than that soon. Can I ask you something personal?" Stephanie asked as she slowed her step on the way to the living room.

"Sure." Amanda said, realizing that Stephanie wanted to ask before they got with the other women.

"I, um, lord this is embarrassing." Stephanie said, then took a deep breath and said "I want to buy some pretty lingerie for my first time with Digger but I've never bought anything like that before. Where do I go and how much can I expect to pay for it?" She finally said, in a kind of rush.

Amanda had to fight hard not to laugh at her but knew just how she felt. "Well, Victoria Secrets is where most of us shop but that can be expensive but I'll tell you a secret. IF you can get Digger to go in there with you, looking for it is even more fun than when you do it alone or with girlfriends. Plus you can get them to pay for it mostly because they can't wait to see you in it." Amanda couldn't help the giggle that escaped her as Stephanie's eyes got big at the suggestion.

"And now that you are Digger's woman, he will pay for everything for you so you really don't have to work if you don't want to but since you are going to be living in the clubhouse and will be one of us, I will expect you to help out around the house, just like the rest of us will be doing once Taylor leaves." Amanda said as they joined the other ladies.

"Ladies, listen up. I'm glad we have a little time while our men are in church. In case you haven't already heard, Taylor is going to be leaving next week and since there are no club whore's left, we are going to have to divide up the work between us. I've come up with a kind of a work schedule since it's not fair to dump all of the work on one person and no one wants to be stuck doing the same thing every day.

There are two "public" ladies rooms down here. There are currently 8 women after Taylor leaves. I'm not counting Margie because she is pregnant and does not normally live in the clubhouse.

The bathrooms need to be cleaned at least twice a week, the bar one should be done more since it's used more. I don't want to make a schedule for this so I propose a name draw. I'll make up some tags with what room that needs to be cleaned and everyone will draw a room or job that needs to be done for the day.

You go by every morning, draw your job for the day and drop the tag in another box. There will be a chart, probably in the laundry room, and once your job is complete, you mark your initials in the box on the line for the job completed and under what day you did it.

Some days it will be a bathroom, other days it will be laundry. We all do our own laundry now but there are still linens that have to be done. This does not include the men's personal laundry and if they need help, they must pay a prospect. As you know, the prospects collect the linens and drop it off in the laundry room and then the club whores used to do it and the prospects carry it back up to the linen closet upstairs.

The prospects will be responsible for the public men's rooms, everything in the hallways on the first and third floors, sweeping and mopping the laundry room and emptying the trash and make sure you empty the lint traps on every load. We don't want a fire in there. Any questions?" Amanda asked.
