'It's him' The thought slammed into me, freezing me in place.

The light from the wedding.   decorations spilled out onto the garden, casting a soft glow over him.

He stood there, just a few steps away, his figure illuminated enough for me to take in every detail broad shoulders, sharp features, and those cold, piercing eyes. For a moment, I just stared, my breath catching in my throat. I didn’t know why, but something about him always made me feel uneasy, like he carried something darker beneath the surface. But I refused to acknowledge the fear, pushing it down with a steadying breath. He was just another man, after all. I had no reason to be afraid of him

Did I?

Yet, there was something about the way he looked at me. It wasn’t normal it wasn’t casual. His gaze felt like a vice, tightening around me, holding me in place. It was almost too intense, like he was seeing only me, like nothing else around us mattered.I tried to ignore the way his eyes lingered on me, but I couldn’t shake the feeling. His stare wasn’t just cold it was consuming, almost predatory. There was something unsettling about the way he watched me, like I was the only thing he cared about in that moment. A shiver crawled up my spine, but I stood up, straight, refusing his aura to affect me.

"You scared the petty kitten away" I said and turned my heel to walk away from him.

"Talking about yourself?" He mocked me but I decided to not pay heed to him even though it offended me and started walking away

"Walk away for now, soon enough you won't have that choice"

His words lingered in the air, seeping into my thoughts like a slow, creeping chill. I tried to ignore the way my heart stuttered, but the cold certainty in his voice made it impossible to dismiss. My steps faltered, just for a moment, as the weight of his warning settled over me, I turned to him wanting to have a word with this mysterious Bastard.
