"Leave me! Let go of me!" I shouted, my voice trembling as I struggled against his iron grip. My free hand desperately hitting his, trying to break free, but he didn't budge. He dragged me through the grand hall, out to the mansion's main entrance garden.

The sharp roar of a helicopter engine filled the air, its blades whipping up a harsh wind that stung my face and sent my hair flying wildly. Dust and leaves swirled around us as the chopper descended. I closed my eyes against the storm of dirt, my heart racing.

"Come," he commanded coldly, pulling me forward as a man in black stepped forward to open the helicopter door.

"No! I'm not going anywhere with you." I screamed, planting my feet into the ground. When his grip didn't loosen, I dropped to the floor, refusing to move.

"Shanaya, get up," he growled, his voice laced with barely contained anger.

"No" I shot back defiantly, glaring up at him.

He crouched down, his strong fingers gripping my chin and forcing me to meet his eyes.

"I'm asking nicely for the last time," he said, his voice calm but terrifyingly sharp, his anger bubbling just beneath the surface.

"No," I spat, tears pooling in my eyes. "I'm not going anywhere with a psycho criminal like you! Who knows what you'll do to me?" My voice cracked, my defiance masking the sheer terror swirling inside me.

He stared at me, his lips curling into a tight smirk. "Your wish," he said simply, and I frowned in confusion.

He's giving up that easily?

"Eyes down!" His voice thundered, sending a shiver down my spine. All the guards around us immediately dropped their gazes. Before I could react, he swooped down and hauled me over his shoulder in one swift motion.

"What the-PUT ME DOWN!" I screamed, kicking and pounding my fists against his back. It was useless; he carried me like I weighed nothing.

He climbed into the helicopter, placing me on the seat with controlled precision. As soon as I was seated, I attempted to make a run for it, but he grabbed my shoulders and forced me back, his grip unrelenting.

"Sit still," he ordered, securing the seatbelt around me.

"Let me go!" I hissed, my voice trembling as fresh tears streamed down my face.
