It was him.

For the first time in my life, I felt a wave of relief wash over me at the sight of Ekaksh. Tears continued to flow freely from my eyes, and without thinking, I threw myself into his arms, clinging to him desperately. His body stiffened in surprise.

"E-Ekaksh, I'm so scared. Please, take me away from here," I sobbed, my voice breaking.

"What happened?" he asked, his tone still as cold and unyielding as ever.

"S-She's here," I stammered, barely able to get the words out. "Please, please, let's go."

"Who?" he asked, his brows furrowing.

"Masak Kali," I whispered, the name leaving my lips like a curse, and he raised an eyebrow in disbelief.

"Wait here," he said, turning to walk toward the darkness from where I had fled, but I grabbed his hand in a panic, refusing to let go.

"No, no, please don't leave me," I pleaded, clutching his hand as if my life depended on it. My entire body was trembling uncontrollably.

He sighed, clearly exasperated. "Let me just see who or what is there," he insisted, but I tightened my grip, shaking my head violently.

"Please, no," I begged again, my voice breaking. My fear was so palpable I could hardly stand.

With a resigned sigh, he held my hand and began leading me down the corridor. I latched onto his bicep, my fingers digging into his arm, my eyes darting frantically around us, expecting the ghostly figure to reappear at any moment.

"Bhoot pichash nikat nahi ave," I chanted under my breath, my whole body quivering with terror.

"It's probably just your imagination running wild," he muttered dismissively as we reached a room. "Stop watching those ridiculous horror podcasts."

"I swear, Ekaksh, I saw her! I saw her with my own eyes," I insisted, running inside the room the moment he pushed the door open. I collapsed onto the bed, unable to stand any longer, burying my face in my hands as fresh sobs racked my body.

"She’s going to kill me… Oh, God, please save me. I’m so sorry, Mumma. I’ll never watch anything scary again," I cried, my voice barely a whisper.

A hand suddenly touched my shoulder, and I jumped, screaming.

"Shh, it's me," Ekaksh said, placing a finger over my trembling lips to quiet me. He sat beside me, his cold eyes fixed on mine. "Now, tell me, what did you see?"

"S-She’s going to take me away, Ekaksh," I whispered, fresh tears spilling over as I recalled the horrific image.

"Who?" he asked
