You take the water bottle from the backseat and finish the half of it in one go and the rest half was finished by your husband.

"It was your step mother who sent those killers for me. Your accident seems like an accident but I believe it wasn't one. I think it was purposely sent to make sure that if I had taken the bullets, I'd definitely go around the road due to shock of the bullets and at the right time the truck would hit me and my story would have been actually finished. No chances of me living anymore but luck or unluck whatever you wanna say, it changed everything for your mother nothing worked accordingly to what she planned."

Jungkook finally sits straight sighing once again, resting his head on the seat with his hand finally leaving the stearing wheel to push back his hair in exertion of everything.

He closes his eyes to rest for a while after giving you the biggest shock of your life.

"Why wouldn't I?" He questions but answers with a sweet polite chuckle. "I've waited years for you, I've seen you almost die in front of me, I've seen you grow apart from me, I've wandered miles for you presence, for your voice, so why wouldn't I be happy about it?"

Suddenly he remembers something that he adds ahead with his previous answer.

But prior to saying anything, he takes out his hand to hold yours in his warm and big ones that gave you quick quiet sharp shivers down the spine. And with the usual smile he carries with the conversation.

"You know what? Of course I'm happy about this marriage cause I finally got to marry my fiance after 5 years of wait." He says as he shuffles the ring on his ring finger.

Your eyes bulged out. What the heck? You were engaged to him? You were engaged for 5 years and you didn't know? The hell is happening in your life and you've no literal idea about it? What an irony.

And now you understand that why he asked you on your engagement to not buy him any ring and handed you the one he's wearing already.

"The ring you were wearing before our engagement this time, was the ring I gave you 5 years ago when we got engaged."

Oh damn, and you were told that Austin gave you that ring on your birthday. Wow, what a great fool has been made out of you.

"So that's the reason you didn't want a new ring as this," you point to the ring he's wearing and has been wearing since you've met him.

He nods with a smile. "You're thinking it right." He keeps his hand on your face to help you get a little less shocked but it wasn't helping. He has given you loads of information you perhaps weren't ready to take in this soon. Not just after you got married at least.

"This was our engagement ring." He says with his warm palm on your left cheek.

"Wait so- if my family knew everything about it and if Austin did, then why he never told me about you? Why he never tried to remind me about you?"

"I stopped him." Jungkook relies as he takes his palm off your cheek. "I knew if he did... your step mother would have harmed either of you so I stopped him. And honestly, I was the one who asked him to tell you about that ring that it was him who gave it to you not me or else you would have probably thrown it off if you'd hear that I gave it to you."

His voice cracks a little when he spoke about throwing the ring away.

You can imagine what Jungkook has gone through all these years and you weren't by his side. But it still is a big big shock and you need to look for your brother for some amount of confirmation about all this topic. You trust Jungkook, but still, your brother is more trustworthy at the moment.
