Staring at the bottom of your glass...

Hoping one day you'll make a dream last..
But dreams come slow, and they go so fast..

You see her when you close your eyes...
Maybe one day, you'll understand why.
Everything you touch surely dies!

Rory~

THE next morning I woke to the birds chirruping, the water on the marsh making soft waves as the morning sunlight peaked in through the open window in my room. I was still wrapped in JJ's arms as I lay on my side, the soreness and pain from the broken ribs and the wound started spreading as I felt it more now.

I sighed and rolled over, as silently and softly as I could, I get out from JJ's hold. He was sound asleep right now; I don't want to disturb him. Things have been hectic as it is, he needs to get enough rest.

I get up, slightly wincing as I did so, but I suppress the sound and limp out of my bedroom after opening the creaking door as I make my way out to the kitchen.

Kie was fast asleep on the pull-out sofa, my heart wrenched as I remembered our argument from last night.

I ignore the tugging feeling as I grab the painkillers and meds that Pope had bought for me. I also grabbed the healing ointment and apply it on the small cut on my cheekbone. I take the meds and drink water over it.

Sighing heavily as I rested against the counter for a second to give my body a little bit of rest. I couldn't walk straight yet, I was still limping because walking standing straight was straining the wound too much. I take a deep breath, grabbing a small bottle of water; I walk onto the porch to find Carter sleeping on one of the couches outside.

I walk over and lean onto the wooden railing by the screen-door. The effects of the pain, the wound, all the revelation of truth and hidden betrayals, catching up to me. Taking a huge toll on me.

Looking over the backyard, slight wind blowing as leaves on the huge trees ruffled, soft rays of sun peaking through the cracks in the leaves branches, while the small soft waves all combined made a beautiful and peaceful sound.

It was still pretty early, from what I saw when I peered over the wall clock in the living room, it was around 5:45 AM.

I frowned when I noticed someone on the dock.
