I couldn't believe what had just happened. The Branson Bradford touched me at the table, as he was sitting beside Montgomery, and came to the door to the bathroom that I was in, asking to come in. I couldn't pass this up, but what would happen afterward?

"Fuck it, it's fine," I whisper to myself before I open the door. There he was. Branson's arm was leaning against the bathroom doorframe. "Get in here!" I exclaim, hoping no one noticed that I was in here, and Branson was coming in too. "What are you doing, Branson?"

"Alex, I know this is going to sound crazy, but I can't stop thinking about you. Ever since I saw you leave the front office, I knew you were going to be my next man crush." Branson commented.

"Branson, we can't do anything. If Montgomery finds out, she-" I tried to remind Branson that he had a girlfriend, but he interrupted.

"Alex," he paused, "she doesn't have to find out." he continued as he started walking closer to me. I didn't realize that the bathroom was as spacious as it was until I tried to keep away from Branson. I obviously wanted him, but I know if Montgomery found out she'd be furious.

"Branson, we can't. I am going home." I started to leave the restroom.

"Wait!" Branson stopped me and grabbed my arm. "Don't leave. I want this. I want this now." He pulled me closer to him, turned me around, and pushed me up against the wall. I could smell his cologne, an exotic, light blue scent. My favorite. He leaned in for a kiss. I can't do this. I want this. What do I do?

"Branson, we ca-" I tried to stop him but I let him keep going. His hand slowly slid passed my chest and stopped at my neck. He held the back of my head, keeping me close to his lips. His breath was minty and his eyes were twinkling in the bathroom light. I haven't felt this way since my days in London.

"Alex, I want this. I want this every day. I want you, and I think you want me." Branson commented in between each kiss. I stopped him after he said that.

"I want this too, Branson, but we can't. The only way this would work is if you break up with Montgomery, but I don't want her to hate me. We need to just leave it be. This won't ever work, no matter how much I want it to. It just won't work." I respond to him, wishing whatever he'd say would fix the situation, and I could have him all to me.

"Alex, we can make this work. Let me just figure some things out, and in the meantime, we can keep doing this."

"Branson, I'm going to go home. I like you, but I can't do this to Montgomery. I'm sorry." I begin walking out the door.

"Hey, Alex. Keep this between us, will ya? I'll make this right on my own time." I ignore the question and leave the bathroom. I couldn't believe what had just occurred, but if I told Montgomery she would be pissed. I don't want her to hate me, but I didn't start this. Well, I guess I didn't stop it either. On my walk home, I got a call from LilyBeth.

"Hey, where are you?" LilyBeth asked.

"I'm not gonna be there for the rest of the night, but I need to talk to you," I respond.

"Are you okay? Why are you leaving?"

"I can explain more in person, want to come to my house tomorrow morning? We can go to Central Park after the family breakfast."

"Yeah, that sounds good. I'll be there at 9 o'clock."

"Okay, see ya LilyBeth."

Meredith wasn't very happy that I left early, but whatever. It's not like she needed me for anything that preceded the speech. Despite her being pissed, she was totally okay with me hanging out with LilyBeth after breakfast. I knew she believed LilyBeth and I were going to turn into something, but I obviously wasn't even remotely interested in that. The only reason I asked her to hang out was so I could ask for her advice on the Branson situation.

*DING* *DONG*

"I'll get it!" I yell down the halls toward the study where Meredith and Fredrick were beginning their day. "Hey LilyBeth," I say, as I open the wooden front door.

"Hey, Alex! Ready for the park?"

"Yep let's go!" On the walk to the park, I tried to think of the best way to tell LilyBeth about Branson.

"So, there's something I want to tell you that happened to me last night, but you can't say anything about it. Promise?" I begin.

"Promise," LilyBeth responds.

"Well, starting off the night, when I first sat down beside Branson, right before the speech he touched my thigh and left it there until the speech began. Then, when I went to the bathroom after the speech, to think about what just happened and how to tell Montgomery that her boyfriend is gay, Branson came and knocked on the door. I didn't want to let him in, but he insisted on me letting him in. So, I let him in and tried to leave, but he grabbed my arm, turned me around, and pushed me against the wall. I tried to stop him, but he was much stronger than me. Afterward, he started making out with me and told me he wanted to live in that moment forever. Once he stopped kissing me, I told him that what he did was wrong and that I wasn't doing anything because Montgomery would kill me. So, I tell you this because I want your advice on what to do." I ramble until I have nothing else to say.

"Oh my goodness, Alex! You have to tell M," LilyBeth exclaimed, shocked by the news I just told her.

"Well, I don't want Montgomery to hate me. I think I'm going to just let it go, and let Branson tell her."

"Alex, you have to tell her. You can't just let her continue to be with Branson if he is gay. It's not right."

"You're right, but if I do, she'll kill me. I'd rather her just not find out, and you promised not to say anything, so don't go and tell her either."

"Okay, Alex. I'll let you do it, but I think you definitely need to. M would want you to tell her rather than her find out you didn't-"

"Well, she won't find out, LilyBeth." I cut her off. I can't out Branson. He has to do that on his own time. I just hope LilyBeth will keep her promise.
