"Alex, it's time to wake up!" Meredith yells up the stairwell, making sure I am up and getting ready for school.
"Alright Meredith, I'm up," I yell back, hoping to shut her up. I can't believe Branson is coming over for dinner tonight to talk about everything, plan out what we are going to do, and who knows, maybe have a little fun, too. Oh shit, I haven't even asked Meredith and Fredrick if Branson could even come over. I gather my things and walk down the stairs.
"Hey Meredith, Fredrick! Can Branson Bradford come over tonight and eat take-out with me? We have an English essay to proofread and critique that's due tomorrow." I ask.
"Of course, Alexander! We are just glad to know you're making friends! I mean it is getting closer and closer to Fall break, and I'd hate for you to have to sit here alone the whole week off. Maybe if you and Branson are friends still at that time, he can sleep over a night or two! Only if you want to, of course! Oh yeah, we also probably won't be home until eleven o'clock, or so, so you boys behave while we are gone." Both Fredrick and Meredith reply.
"Uhh, yeah, okay that sounds good, I'll see if he is up to it. Thanks for letting him come over." I respond.
"Of course, Alex. Now come get a muffin and head to school." Meredith prompts me towards the kitchen counter. I grab two blueberry muffins and head to school. I'm not prepared for my first period today, especially since I have to sit with Montgomery. On my way to school, I pull out my phone and start texting Branson.
Hey, are we still on for tonight? Remember you have to pick up the food on your way over.
Of course, and I will pick it up. I can't wait to see you. I have been craving your skin against mine since we earned the name, "Bathroom Bandits".
Oh yeah?
Maybe tonight we can finish what we started?
Branson, I told you we should talk about what we are gonna do before we get into anything serious.
Yeah, but you also told me you didn't want anything to do with me, and now here we are, going to have dinner together tonight. I think you want this just as much as I do.
LOL
See you tonight, pretty boy.
Walking into the courtyard of Abbott Academy, I felt the stares from people all around me. I knew people were whispering about the new boy and the popular boy scandal, and that's the last thing I needed. A new school of privileged girls that hated me. The guys were not so happy with me being their best friend's new hookup, but I didn't care about them. I didn't talk to them to begin with. I hear someone run up behind me.
"You know, Alexander. I think it's really cool what you did." A random girl runs up beside me.
"Who are you?" I ask.
"Paris Franklin, of course! You've never heard of me? I'm only the most popular girl in the school."
"Well, I've not heard of you, I don't think. Plus, I thought the most popular girl in our school was Montgomery Winslow." I replied.
"Alexander! Don't be silly, she's definitely below my popularity scale. Anyway, no more talk on Montgomery right now. I'm here to talk about you! What you did was brave. I envy that. I didn't honestly believe it at first, myself, but I guess it's true if Branson's own girlfriend posted it on The Courtyard." She smirked.
"Well, you got one thing right, it definitely happened. I wouldn't necessarily consider it brave, though. More so an act of braveness from Branson. He's the one that initiated it in the first place."
